In the evening, Wang Yao was at home having dinner when he received a phone call. Not too long after, Wang Mingbao came to his house, looking anxious.

"What's wrong?"

"Uncle and Aunt Wang," Wang Mingbao greeted Wang Yao's parents. "I have something to tell you," he said to Wang Yao.

"What's the matter?"

"Remember the last time I told you about those ginsengs?"

"Yes, I remember. What about it?"

"Earlier this afternoon, I paid a visit to my friend's house. He had already sold half of his stock. You mentioned that the ginsengs have adverse effects; are the effects serious?!" Wang Mingbao exclaimed. "He sold so many of them; will that cause problems with the law?"

"Ordinarily, ginseng cannot be consumed in large quantities. Those ginsengs have eternal ingredients injected into them to encourage growth. The adverse effects are small, so the problem isn't big. The issue is the price that he sold them at. If he sold them at a premium price and passed them off as premium quality ginsengs, he is cheating others. Did he sell them directly to others, or was it through an intermediary distributor?"

"I don't know about that."

"I know!" Wang Yao's eyes suddenly brightened. "Let me ask Li Maoshuang."

He made a phone call. The other person listened and immediately understood.

"I was thinking, how come Lianshan has so many wild ginsengs lately, passing lower quality ginsengs as premium quality ones. Furthermore, the price is not cheap either. This is against the rules," Li Maoshuang commented over the phone. In every industry, there were rules. Money could be earned, but rules could not be broken. When broken, punishment would ensue.

Hearing Li Maoshuang's explanation, Wang Yao knew the crux of the matter. Wang Mingbao's friend had gotten himself into trouble that was not that serious, yet not negligible either. If caught, he could be sent to the police. Passing fake goods as genuine goods would constitute as a criminal offense. Fines and detention would be inevitable.

"You'd better quickly remind your friend that the consequences will be severe," Wang Yao said.

"Okay, I will tell him."

Wang Mingbao had come and left in haste. Evidently, his relationship with that person was quite good. Otherwise, he would not have cared so much.

"I hope your friend will listen to your advice."

Shortly after Wang Mingbao left, Wang Yao received a call from Zhou Xiong.

"What, you're caught? Where?"

After he found out the location, Wang Yao swiftly called Wang Mingbao, drove to pick him up and drove directly to the police station in Lianshan County. While on the way, Wang Mingbao called his connections.

In the police station, Wang Yao saw the detained Zhou Xiong and found out what happened.

Apparently, at night, Zhou Xiong had left the apartment to walk around to move his limbs and buy some stuff. Coincidentally, he saw a young man who was harassing a young woman and hence he went forward to stop him. Unexpectedly, the other party had a knife. Zhou Xiong was unable to control his techniques and ended up hurting a few people.

By right, Zhou Xiong was being righteous. However, the family of one of the men he had beaten up happened to have connections and made a false counter charge. They claimed that Zhou Xiong had deliberately hurt them and had him sent to the police station. Zhou Xiong did not know anyone in Lianshan County—the only person he could think of who could help him was Wang Yao.

"Can you find out who is the man Zhou Xiong has beaten up?" Wan Yao asked Wang Mingbao who was beside him.

"Okay."

Within a few minutes, Wang Mingbao found out that the people that Zhou Xiong had the scuffle with were playboys from families with a background. Their families had connections. Since Zhou Xiong was an outsider, they took advantage of him. Unfortunately, the young woman involved was nowhere to be found, so there was no witness.

"This is a bit troublesome," Wang Mingbao said.

The families would not let the matter rest. As one of the young men had used a knife, Zhou Xiong did not show mercy and had beaten them up quite badly. Three of them were hospitalized, and one of them had two broken auxiliary bones.

"I got this." Wang Yao made a phone call.

Not more than 20 minutes later, a man in his 30's appeared at the police station.

Zhang Peng was a lawyer he had met that day at the law firm. For matters such as these, it was best that they left it to the professionals.

"This problem is a little troublesome," Zhang Peng said after listening to Zhou Xiong's account of the matter.

"That's why we asked you, because you're a professional," Wang Yao said.

"Based on what you just said, leave this to me."

And so, the lawyer displayed his professionalism and connections by posting bail for him. Guarantors were needed, and therefore, Wang Mingbao and Wang Yao became his guarantors. Zhou Xiong was worried about his son at first, but with bail posted, he was released that night.

"Thank you!" Zhou Xiong thanked Wang Yao and the rest profusely when they exited the police station.

"You should leave first; Kang must be worried. The rest of the stuff, leave it to Mr. Zhang."

"No problem," said Zhang Peng. He was paid for this, and so, naturally, he would do his utmost to help them.

Subsequently, Wang Yao drove Zhou Xiong to his rented apartment.

"Mr. Zhou's skills are indeed exceptional to beat up three guys in a three-on-one fight!" in the car, Wang Yao commented with a laugh.

"In Cangzhou, most people are apt in martial arts. I know a bit as well," Zhou Xiong replied.

"Will you teach me a few moves next time?" Wang Yao made a casual comment.

"Okay!" This one word uttered from Zhou Xiong was a firm promise and was made without hesitance.

At Zhou Xiong's place, his son was so worried that he could not sleep and was only able to relax when his father came back. Wang Yao stayed for a while and then left.

"What about you? Are you going to the village or the shop?" Wang Yao asked Wang Mingbao.

"To the village. Tomorrow, I'll be back," said Wang Mingbao.

Wang Yao thus drove back to the village.

"The boy we saw earlier was the patient you told me about previously, right?"

"Yes."

"He looks seven or eight?"

"He is actually older, almost ten," Wang Yao said.

"He looks sensible. Has the illness caused him much grief?"

"Yes, he can't sleep at night, but he is much better now. He is a good boy!" said Wang Yao.

Upon returning to the village, Wang Yao parked his car. He looked at the time—it was close to 11 pm, but his house was still lit. He knew his parents were worried about him, so he walked in to talk to them and then made a move to go up to Nanshan hill.

"It's so late already, and you still want to go up the hill? Aren't you scared?" Wang Mingbao asked.

"What do I have to be afraid of?" Wang Yao smiled and asked.

"At this time of night, won't there be ghosts!?" Wang Mingbao said.

"For the past three years, I spent most of my time on the hill. At such a time, I will be up there alone. Maybe there is a ghost, but I haven't actually seen it!" Wang Yao smiled and answered. "Alright, I'm not chatting with you anymore. I'm going up the hill!"

Having said that, Wang Yao gave waved and went up the hill.

The next day, a gentle breeze was blowing.

On the peak, a man was seated, like an old monk.

Natural Classics mentioned that the guidance technique was marvelous and could be used between movements; except that Wang Yao was used to practicing static exercises. With that, another meridian became unobstructed, and his body had an improved change.

Constitution 3, Strength 2.5, Spirit 2.5, Agility 2.3, Will 2.4.

Whenever a meridian became unblocked, his body's attributes would display great improvements.

"At this rate, if the entire body's collaterals become thoroughly unblocked, what will I become? Will I become a real hidden immortal?" Wang Yao was looking forward to it.

Eh?

He realized that his mission's completion status was at 21/1000—a sudden increase in the number of people. It was surprising to him.

"How did it increase so much?"

He thought over it and still could not figure it out. He decided not to think about it too much since this was a good thing after all.

When it was close to noon, he received a call from the lawyer, Zhang Peng. The families wanted compensation, and Zhou Xiong was willing to do so, but they wanted much more.

"What compensation?" Wang Yao heard him and questioned. "They were in the wrong, and still they demand compensation. And at such a high price?!"

They should not be too kind to such people!

Of course, this was Wang Yao's opinion. He had to get Zhou Xiong's take on the matter. Under Zhang Peng's mediation, all parties met and talked, but the other party's attitude was poor and arrogant. This angered Zhou Xiong, and so the talks fell through.

"So the bargain fell through? In that case, do we seek legal recourse?" Wang Yao heard the news and did not have much to say. He had an idea of the other parties' temperament. On the basis that they had some power and connections, they thought they could distort the truth. The former him would have hesitated and cowered. However, now he had sufficient boldness, connections, and money.

He called Zhou Xiong, told him his intentions and said that if Zhou Xiong were willing, he would do his best to help.

Wang Yao knew that it had been an arduous journey for the father and son, who had come a long way to seek medical help. He felt that their characters and temperament were good. Based on Zhou Xiong's righteousness, Wang Yao felt that he needed to help. This matter had caused Zhou Xiong, who was in Lianshan County, to feel particularly angry. He had good intentions and wanted to help those in need. Unexpectedly, it had created trouble. If not for Wang Yao's help, he might still be in the police station since he was not familiar with this area.

Wang Yao's offer to help and his words over the phone had moved him.

"I never knew that this doctor was not only an excellent doctor, but he also has a sense of chivalry and is very helpful!" He was like a knight in shining armor.

Zhou Xiong did not want to trouble Wang Yao. He pondered over it and decided to call another person.

The next day, to Zhang Peng's surprise, those bold, arrogant parties who were out to get Zhou Xiong had changed their attitudes. Furthermore, the police station received a CCTV tape that showed what happened that night. Some of the playboys were harassing a young woman. A stranger passing by saw the situation and stopped to help. One of those playboys pulled out a knife. In the end, the stranger had beat up the guys and had them all sprawled on the ground.

With this tape, all was clear.

The families were stunned. The thing that they had used ways and means to hide had suddenly appeared. They now realized that the stranger in a foreign land was not completely helpless and alone. They heard that he had connections in Lianshan County, and this matter was resolved with the help of a high-level person in the county, someone who wielded considerable power.

With the matter resolved, Zhou Xiong had gotten rid of the burden in his heart. He called Wang Yao to tell him about the resolution of the issue. After all, Wang Yao had been concerned and had given much help.
