Demon Lord Management Sim Game

262 262 – Second Wedding

Since Emily wanted our wedding to be attended by a few people, I only invited the generals, Karl and Jude. We were also in a small, minimally decorated room.

I smiled, looking at my future wife, who was wearing the dark purple dress she had chosen. She, using makeup that further highlighted her beauty, smiled back.

My other women have to force her to wear that makeup.

"Well, I haven't done anything like this in a long time." Jude chuckled as he scratched his hair. He stood by us to give the blessing. "So, I hope I won't disappoint you."

"Just do it, Jude," Emily grumbled, but her mouth hardly opened, and her lips still smiled at me. "I want this over quickly."

I chuckled at her antics.

The former religious leader cleared his throat. "Today, we will witness something extraordinary. Something that will become an unforgettable memory, something that will change the course of…."

"Keep it simple." Emily hissed but still stared at me.

"Alright, then." Jude shrugged. "With this, I formally declare you as husband and wife. Are you both up for it?"

"I do." Emily and I answered the question at the same time.

Xenora and Ayre hurriedly got up from the chairs, obviously not expecting this vow to happen this quickly. Those two moved down the lane towards the stage I was on.

Ayre started strumming her lute, and Xenora was humming along in a melodious voice.

"Well, there's nothing I can do anymore." Jude scratched his head again.

Emily and I brought our faces closer to each other, then linked lips.

Being married twice was not bad.

"I am happy, my lord." Emily, naked and lying beside me, muttered. "This is the greatest day of my life. No single fight can match this."

"It's good, then." I stroke her hair.

Yes, I am indeed happy with today's events. However, after making love with the supreme undead, I felt something was wrong with my body.

I should have contacted Lexi, but I don't want to ruin this day.

And suddenly, the corners of the supreme undead mouth dropped.

I raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"

"I have a request, my lord." She sighed. "Maybe you won't agree to this, and I don't mind if you don't."

I paused for a moment, staring at her enigmatic expression. "What's that?"

"I feel like I have no more drive to fight. Lately, I've been trying to enjoy it as much as I used to. But I can't lie to myself, my lord." She closed her eyes. "And I thought that after I no longer had to deal with the undead, I would settle down and be able to fight again. However, that turned out to be wrong."

Maybe she's too tired. Before joining me, she had been fighting continuously for hundreds of years in that cave.

"If you want to stop being a warrior, what do you want to do?" I ran my hand through her hair again. "I can't imagine you being a housewife."

She laughed. "I don't know yet, my lord. Well, I hope this place has a job for me someday. I'm sure I can't stand doing nothing. The long waits were the most annoying part of my time guarding the cave."

"Well, I have some ideas." I feel increasingly uncomfortable with my body. "For example, training humans who want to be part of us or the police force."

"That's a great idea." She nodded and looked at me again. "That fits….." The supreme undead frowned. "Why are you so pale like me, my lord?"

"Can't a demon lord have a cold, oh my wife?" I chuckled.

She snorted. "I told you, I don't like being called something like that."

I chuckled again and suddenly felt terrible nausea. I rush out of bed.

"What happened, my lord!?"

My strength suddenly disappeared, making me fall to my knees.

Then, I puked profusely onto the floor. However, thick black liquid came out of my mouth, not blood or vomit.

Emily rushed to me, who shifted and leaned my back against the wall. Without hesitation, she wiped the remaining vomit in my mouth with her arm.

"Please, tell me what happened, my lord." She started to sob.

I wanted to say that everything is fine. But I realized that she would definitely try to find out what was going on, and that would attract the attention of the others.

So, after taking an unusually long breath, I looked into her eye. "It looks like I'm dying, Emily. The procedure they did on me didn't fully work."

She gasped hard, widened her eyes, then hugged me tightly.

"You don't need to worry." I rubbed the supreme undead back. "Ayre and Doc are trying hard to heal me…. The important thing is that I obey their orders not to fight for a while."

"Then, I will carry out my duty to fight for you." Her voice was getting hoarse. "I will raise my sword again."

"No. You don't have to fight anymore." I flashed a faint smile as she let go of her hug. "I just want you to be by my side, Emily."

I said that for Emily's feelings. She really didn't want to fight anymore. I don't want my wife to be more burdened.

"Oh, my lord." She rubbed my face while shedding tears. "Why is this happening? We have reached this stage. Tomorrow, we will carry out an invasion of Ashenburg. Your empire will only grow."

"You speak as if this is the end." I let out a bitter chuckle, despite my body getting sicker. "I told you, Ayre and Doc will….."

I couldn't continue my words because I threw up again.

"I will call for help. Hang in there, my lord." Emily got up, and I held her shoulder.

"Just call Doc and Ayre," I spoke to her while trying to suppress the urge to vomit. "Don't let the others know. This is the secret between the four of us."

She nodded, then immediately ran over to pick up the communication book on the table.

"Doc, we have an emergency." The undead supreme hurriedly spoke to Lexi. "Yes, it's about our lord. Hurry over here."

After that, she called Ayre.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I have to get through this.
