Demon Lord Management Sim Game

243 243 – Overflowing Energy

"Can't you do it again, Rilla!?" Emily screamed.

"Sorry, Emily." The mermaid looked exhausted. "It drains all my energy."

"Shit!" The supreme undead cursed. They were close to winning, but there was nothing she could do.

Does this mean Lord Vorn can't be brought here?

Emily's tears started to fall. No, she wanted to see her lover again, someone who gave her purpose and loved her.

And suddenly, Emily felt a surge of energy in her chest. She could only gawk at it. Previously, she had never felt anything like it.

Has she been keeping that much power without realizing it all this time? Or is she now able to suck up a lot of power from the ground, even though she is at sea?

"What shall we do, Lady Emily?" The question from Tess woke Emily up.

This was not the time to think about the origin of that power. The supreme undead concentrated on channeling her energy into her mecha. Everything inside the cockpit emitted a dim purple light.

She looked at the Kraken, which was just floating in the water. Even though its tentacles were twitching, it didn't attack.

Could the creature hasn't fully regained consciousness after Rilla's attack?

"Okay, then." Emily took a deep breath, then turned away from the Kraken.

"Are we going to run, lady Emily?" Tess asked again.

"No. I'll do something." Emily responded. "Keep guarding that portal, and don't ask too many questions."

"I can barely do it. So, please hurry up."

The supreme undead didn't answer, then maneuvered her way back to the Kraken. That woman used high speed while continuing to channel her overflowing energy into that mecha.

That vehicle's acceleration was multiplied, and every inch of it was now emitting a bright purple light.

Emily didn't feel any pain, but she got a feeling that there was a possibility that she wouldn't survive after doing this.

Even so, if it was to bring Lord Vorn back, she was willing to do anything.

"Please die, you ugly sea creature!!!" Emily moved her mecha's hand to draw her sword forward.

The blade dug deep into the Kraken's body, but Emily kept the mecha moving, pushing the giant creature.

"Stop it! You don't know what will happen if you do this!!!" The Kraken tried to dislodge Emily's mecha from its body. However, the tentacles always bounce again every time they touch that thing.

It was like the area around Emily's mecha was electrified.

That creature kept getting pushed until it finally started to enter the portal. Unfortunately, Emily doesn't know if her mecha will survive. She had already heard the explosions of various parts of the submarine.

"Start closing the portal, Tess!!!" Emily screamed. "Now!!!"

"But he still hasn't entered completely!" The shapeshifter answered.

"It doesn't matter! I don't care if parts of him get cut off!" Emily continued. "I don't know how much longer I can last! This submarine is very damaged!"

The portal continued to shrink, and the Kraken still couldn't put up a fight.

"Please, let me go!" The Kraken begged. "This will be a disaster! There will be dire consequences!"

Emily didn't answer. Several parts of her submarine were already loose, and the glass in front of her started cracking.

"Come on, just a little more." She hissed.

The Kraken said something more, but Emily couldn't hear him anymore.

Most of the Kraken's body had entered the portal, leaving only its tentacles. Emily couldn't control her mecha anymore. That thing is starting to sink.

"Shit." Emily's mouth released a bitter chuckle. "This is the end, huh?"

The tentacles were cut off as soon as the portal closed completely.

Then, the parts of Emily's mecha broke apart, leaving the unconscious supreme undead submerged in the dark seawater.

Rilla immediately swam to save her.

Emily could only see darkness. A question appeared in her head. Is she dead?

But she was dead a long time ago.

"Emily." A voice emerged from the darkness. The supreme undead recognized that voice very well.

The voice was her own, but she wasn't talking.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"Your newfound power."

The supreme undead chuckled. "Will I be in trouble? My power has regained consciousness now?"

"No. I just wanted to tell you something. You can use me to transform into a human now. You have the ability for that."

Emily was silent for a moment. "Why do I want to be human?"

"By becoming a human, you can rest in peace when the time comes. You don't have to live hundreds of years in agony anymore. And by becoming a human, your necromancy powers will disappear. You don't have to deal with the guilt of taking back the spirits of the living to reanimate the corpses…."

"If you really are my power, it means you are part of me." Emily interrupted. "You should know that I still want to serve lord Vorn. So, I can't lose my power yet."

The sound didn't appear anymore.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Emily saw the evening sky. And when she straightened up, she saw a stretch of white sand, the sea, and Tess' submarine above the water.

She also found Tess sitting beside her, and also Rilla.

"What about the Kraken?" The supreme undead asked as she held her aching head.

"You did it, lady Emily." Tess smiled. "We managed to store that creature in the pocket dimension."

The supreme undead breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you for your help. With this, we can bring Lord Vorn back here."

Although still weak, Emily stood up, staring at the sun starting to set. Yes, she was relieved now, but she couldn't forget the Kraken's words.

What kind of consequences would happen after they did this?

The supreme undead sighed again. Now wasn't the time to think about that.

"Lady Emily." Tess got up too. "What happened to you? Why did your body become like that?"

"What?" The supreme undead scanned her entire body, now wrapped in a faint purple light. Not only that, but she also felt the overflow of energy inside her again.
