I shook my head. "No, I don't need it."

Mai Qi leaned back in her chair, her feet resting on the table. "Why not? You need to know your enemies to win the battles!"

I rolled my eyes at her. "Whenever two women appear around the same man, they would fight to the death. But I don't get it. Isn't this supposed to be the man's initiative? His choice is still the final result. So what if the two women fought to their deaths?"

The two of them fell silent.

Jing Ni said to Mai Qi, "I realized that I actually have no way to refute her."

Mai Qi nodded. "Hmm. Do you think we should open a column to share with the world some melodramatic love stories?"

I glared at her. "Melodramatic your head!"

Jing Ni asked, "Did you hear her say that she hasn't seen me at the Jing family's Party?"

I thought for a moment and nodded. "It seems that she has attended the Jing family's party and knows your other cousins."

Jing Ni nodded. "Why did this happen the moment we wanted to do business with the Lin Family? I've checked, the Jing family and the Lin family didn't have any business dealings in the past."

I recalled what the Jing family had said during the meeting. "Find out what they are plotting. How's the cooperation going?"

Jing Ni's fingers danced on the keyboard.

Mai Qi said, "Do you suspect someone in the Jing Family is trying to steal the cooperation opportunity with the Lin Family from Jing Tian?"

Mai Qi frowned. "Does someone want to destroy the relationship between the Jing family and the Lin Family?"

I smiled and tapped her forehead. "Someone, someone. Why are you starting a conspiracy? Can't it be a coincidence?"

Mai Qi reached out to push my finger away. "Sigh, how can there be so many coincidences? Don't forget. We are in the open, and there are so many monsters in the dark! We can't kill them all. No one could tell when they would strike next."

I nodded. That was indeed the truth.
