Knowing that they couldn't waste any time given the current desperate situation of the old ancestor from the noble family, the four Dao Seed Realm cultivators worked together to fight back against the terrifying flames conjured through Xuan Hao's dao domain. Although Xuan Hao had used his full strength to amplify the strength of the flames, his current strength was still a bit off singlehandedly fighting four Dao Seed Realm cultivators at the same time.

Then again, his goal was not to fight the four, he just intended to delay them for long enough that the seven Dao Seed Realm demon beasts could finish off the ancestor of the noble family-

And looking back towards the old ancestor of the noble family struggling to keep a large boar demon beast from swallowing her alive, Xuan Hao wagered that she might not even be able to hold on for another minute, something that the four Dao Seed Realm cultivators also seemed to have noticed as they began taking out different artifacts to speed up their progress through the purgatory created by his dao domain.

Continuing at their new speed bolstered by the support of the different artifacts and treasures that they had taken out to push back against his flames, they should be able to reach the old woman from the noble family in time.

Unfortunately for them, Xuan Hao didn't intend to just stand around relying on his dao domain to do all the work, as he took a step forward using the Dao of Space to teleport himself in front of the group of four. Blocking their path forward, while at the same time leaving all of them stunned at the display of his short distance teleportation-

"You! To orchestrate such a sinister plot against my family, you deserve to die!"

Well… Everyone except one person, the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family, who launched himself toward Xuan Hao filled with killing intent the moment he appeared.

Not even getting the chance to say anything to try and delay the group of four, Xuan Hao was forced to draw his sword to fight back against the relentless barrage of strikes launched by the noble family cultivator now wielding a large saber more than two meters in length.

Even with his comprehension of the Dao of the Sword having reached the Peak of the Small Success Realm, Xuan Hao could not help finding himself in a desperate situation when faced with the saber of the noble family cultivator.

The reason for this being rather obvious, as the Saber Dao of the noble family cultivator had surpassed his comprehension of the Dao of the Sword.

Not just that, but his saber intent was also far stronger than his sword intent. Having undergone a qualitive transformation that his sword intent had not yet gone through. Clearly having surpassed the saber intent's equivalent of the Nascent Sword Soul Realm.

Even then, it wasn't enough to kill the cultivator from the noble family. Instead, it created a perfect opportunity for the other three Dao Seed Realm cultivators to rush towards the old woman fighting for her life surrounded by the seven powerful demon beasts-

However, before the three had a chance to rush forward, Xuan Hao took a step forward and with the help of the drifting cloud steps, arrived directly in front of the three. Wasting no time as he began fighting with the three while also preventing them from getting any closer to where the demon beasts were fighting.

The battle between Xuan Hao and the three Dao Seed Realm cultivators soon caused a devasting change to the environment around the frontier city. Leaving nothing behind other than the scars inflicted whenever an attack missed and subsequently created a new landmark in the process.

Starting to take notice as the battle between Xuan Hao and the three Dao Seed Realm cultivators was far too hard to ignore, the demon beasts surrounding the old woman from the noble family could not help turning to look over at the humans that seemed to have started fighting with each other for some reason-

And noticing that the battle didn't affect them, the demon beasts soon turned their attention back towards the old woman from the noble family. Not just because they wanted to kill her for daring to try and stop them, but more so because eating a Dao Seed Realm cultivator was incredibly beneficial to them as demon beasts.

No matter which of them ended up eating her, the power contained in the body of a Dao Seed Realm cultivator would be more than enough to help them promote a minor realm!

At the same time that the stronger demon beasts were busy dealing with the old woman from the noble family and Xuan Hao was busy fighting the Dao Seed Realm cultivators from the three ruling families, the weaker demon beasts who had formed into a large horde numbering in the millions, were left shivering in fear as none of them dared to take a single step forward in the direction of the frontier city.

The main reason for this being that the battle of Xuan Hao didn't just take place in the sky where they couldn't really see much, but instead turned everything around the frontier city into a wasteland that caused any demon beast unfortunate enough to venture into it to meet a rather quick end.

Not too different from the demon beasts who were left fearfully observing the battle from afar, the group of noble family cultivators who had managed to survive by hugging the protective formation of the frontier city could not help crying to themselves as they watched the countless terrifying attacks flying all around the place.

Although they had managed to reach the frontier city, the guardian formation of the city had activated before they had a chance to run inside. Luckily, the formation didn't just protect the inside of the city, but also a small section outside the barrier itself. Resulting in their current situation of the noble family cultivators hugging the protective formation while praying for a way out of their current deadly situation.

Watching the group of desperate noble family cultivators from the other side, a few of the stronger cultivators inside the city who had come to watch the battle had no idea how to react when they saw these people desperately clinging to the barrier of the guardian formation. Especially considering that they clearly sensed that this group of people were no weaker than them.

At the same time all of this was happening, the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family, who had been firmly knocked into the ground by Xuan Hao a few seconds earlier, emerged covered in blood before he jumped over to join the battle between Xuan Hao and the three Dao Seed Realm cultivators from the ruling families.

The saber in his hand now covered in a blood red aura as he attacked Xuan Hao with far more ferocity compared to before.

Facing the onslaught of four Dao Seed Realm cultivators at once, Xuan Hao could still clearly sense that something had changed in the noble family cultivator.

However, considering his current situation, he didn't have any time or energy to spare investigating this change and instead focused his full attention on stopping the four from getting any closer to the place where the seven demon beasts and the old ancestor of the noble family were fighting.

Although he was being pushed back under the combined might of the four Dao Seed Realm cultivators, it was nowhere near fast enough for them to reach the old woman before one of the demon beasts managed to break through the seemingly endless wave of lifesaving treasures and talismans that she was carrying in her interspatial ring.

At the very least, Xuan Hao hoped this was the case. After all, her lifesaving treasures had to run out at some point… Right…?
