The second that Fu Sichen put his attention somewhere else, the Persian cat somehow disappeared without a trace.

This made Fu Sichen extremely anxious.

He finally managed to find out that the cat had left with Xiao Nian after requesting urgent help from the hospital and checking their surveillance tapes.

After telling the nurses to look after Pei Zhen, Fu Sichen rushed to Xiao Nian’s agency.

It was a really strange feeling.

Fu Sichen realized that the cat had become very important to him, but he really couldn’t explain why.

He only managed to calm down after seeing the cat in person again.

Fu Sichen was determined to leave right after he picked up his cat. Xiao Nian, under Pei Zhen’s orders, could only put on his most sincere expression before walking towards Fu Sichen.

“Best Actor Fu, do you know why the cat ended up here? When I left, Pei Zhen… Um… I mean… The cat followed me. I think… he likes me.”

Fu Sichen felt like Xiao Nian was trying to imply something. He unconsciously tightened his hold on the Persian cat before continuing to stare at Xiao Nian coldly.

Fu Sichen raised an eyebrow; he was starting to see where Xiao Nian was trying to go with this. “You also want to adopt a cat?”

“Oh, then you can easily find a cat of your liking at any old pet shop.” Fu Sichen walked towards the door with cat in tow, not even sparing him a single glance. “But, I’m pretty sure that my cat’s the best.”

Xiao Nian was left speechless; he was still trying to process everything while feeling shocked.

The cat was wriggling more and more violently in Fu Sichen’s arms; his meowing was getting louder and louder. Feeling just as stressed as the cat, Xiao Nian forced himself to take a step forward. “No, I think you’ve misunderstood. Best Actor Fu. Actually… I want to adopt your cat.”

He, Pei Zhen, somehow had now become Pei Pei, the cat!

Fu Sichen’s expression changed after hearing these words. He glared at Xiao Nian with his deep, dark eyes. When he stared at you like that, his gaze felt as cold and as piercing as a sword.

“It’s… It’s obvious that he doesn’t like you in the first place…” Xiao Nian stammered. “Best Actor Fu, there’s no point in forcing things. We should all have bigger hearts. It’s not good to be too domineering… Ah, ah, ah!”

Before Xiao Nian could finish speaking, Fu Sichen lowered his head. He looked like he was going to use a kiss to prove how close he was to the cat.

Xiao Nian fell into a panic because he was so shocked.

“Kiss?” Fu Sichen looked up with a puzzled expression before shifting his gaze to the cat. “What kiss? I just noticed that his fur was a little dirty.”

Xiao Nian had been stunned speechless yet again.

In order to get Xiao Nian’s attention, the cat had run circles around him. His white fur had inevitably gotten dirty.

After hearing Fu Sichen point that out, Pei Zhen looked down out of reflex. But then, he saw his testicles; he turned red out of embarrassment.

Arghhhhhh, this was just too humiliating!

He needed a shirt and pants!

“Let me go! You pervert!” He fiercely struggled out of distress. All he wanted was to teach Fu Sichen a lesson. In the end, however, all he managed to do was meow weakly.

“I’ll take you to get neutered if you try to run away again.” Before this, Fu Sichen hadn’t noticed the cat’s testicles. The vigorously struggling feline had also gotten him a little angry. But for some reason, after hearing him say this, the cat stopped wiggling and became quiet.

Not only did the cat become docile, but even Xiao Nian seemed to calm down immediately.
