Fu Sichen had never intended to keep the Persian cat’s share of earnings from the filming.

Even if the shooting for the magazine, together with the TV drama and variety show did nothing to rocket the Persian cat to fame, it did give publicity to Fu Sichen. That brought in quite a lot of money.

Before knowing that a human soul was dwelling in the cat, Fu Sichen intended to buy cat food with the earnings. However, after the truth came to light, he felt that the money should be put aside for Pei Zhen.

Fu Sichen placed the check in front of Pei Zhen with his long slender fingers, which pleased the eyes as much as the figure on the check.

Pei Zhen felt generous enough to glance at the check. After pausing for some time, he made an awkward sound, took a pen in his claws and wrote the words ‘Animal Shelter’.

That meant that he would like the money to be donated.

Fu Sichen’s lips gradually curled upwards into a smile, and he almost broke into a laugh.

His Pei Zhen was still that kind-hearted man. Even after turning into a cat, he always did whatever he could to protect animals.

“Great.” Fu Sichen folded and put the check away with a light grinding of his fingers. “I’ll donate it right away.”

Pei Zhen casually glanced at Fu Sichen, plonked himself down and burying his head between his paws. He wasn’t in the mood to engage.

The dashing-looking man took a few steps and suddenly stopped. “Pei Pei.”

Pei Zhen looked up reflexively.

The man bent over, his handsome face immediately enlarged before Pei Pei’s eyes. Then, he planted a kiss on the cat’s lips.

“Donated?!”

After the newly-promoted Pet Assitant Xiao Nian found out about the donation of the Persian cat’s earnings to the Animal Shelter, his heart ached. “So much money, all gone?”

He had an issue? Pei Zhen glanced at him coldly.

“Not at all, not at all.” The money was Pei Zhen’s, to begin with. Xiao Nian knew he had no right to criticize. “I’m already endlessly grateful that you haven’t forced me to donate my money.”

Pei Zhen glared at Xiao Nian and decided to ignore it as just one of his quirks.

He dedicated himself to protecting animals, but when it came to donations, he was not one to impose his own thinking on others.

Not harming animals was just a basic duty and donating was an act of kindness, just like Fu Sichen said—a little at a time, a step at a time. Eventually, more people would value life and love animals.

“Daddy.” No matter what, Xiao Nian was a responsible Pet Assistant. “The Animal Shelter sent a thank you note, and asked if they can spread the word about what we have done.”

Xiao Nian was quiet for a while, then spoke his mind. “Daddy, I don’t think we should publicize this matter.”

The Persian cat belonged to Fu Sichen.
