Cohabitation With My Ex-Husband

355 I Like Mommy's Name

The twins looked at their Daddy and Mommy who sat in front of them alternately. Both of them had confused expressions.

After dinner, suddenly their Mommy called them to the dining table and told them to sit down.

Their daddy, who is usually busy after dinner, was also there.

"Are we in trouble, Mommy?" Gabriel asked fearfully. He then tried to remember what he did to make his Mommy and Daddy call him.

Ah! Had he been caught having a snack before dinner last night?

While Raphael also looked confused. He wondered if they had been called for causing trouble, like his brother had said.

However, he couldn't think of what wrong they had done to be called out like this. His Mommy's face also looks normal, not like she's angry.

"Have you finished making my sister?" asked Raphael with a hopeful face as the thought crossed his mind.

The only thing he could think of the reason they were called like this was just that.

Gabriel's face, which used to look worried, immediately changed 180 degrees.

"Really, Mommy?" the blonde haired little boy asked with twinkling eyes.

Sarah just smiled seeing how her two babies looked enthusiastic, making her not want to see their disappointed faces because it wasn't what they expected.

However, she knew that she had to tell them.

"No, it's not like that."

The wide smiles on the faces of the two kids immediately disappeared when they heard that.

"We're having a family meeting!" Sarah continued, making her tone sound serious because her kids really like the word 'family meeting'.

"Oh!"

Their facial expressions changed again when they heard the family meeting. They then immediately sat up straight and put on a serious facial expression. Ready to join the meeting.

Michael and Sarah chuckled at the adorable behavior of their kids.

"So... hmm..." Sarah didn't continue her words, a bit confused on how she should start this conversation.

"Do you know your full name?" Michael asked suddenly when Sarah broke down.

Both nodded.

"I'm Raphael Smith."

"And  I'm Gabriel Smith."

The two kids simultaneously said their names.

"I even know how to spell it, Daddy," Gabriel said and started spelling his own full name.

Raphael just nodded at that. He also knows how to spell and write his name.

"Boys, you..." Michael didn't finish his words when Sarah's hand tapped his thigh lightly, as if indicating that she was going to say it.

"Raphael, Gabriel," Sarah called out, her voice sounding heavy. "From now on, your names are no longer that. Your last names should be changed," continued Sarah, looking at her kids one by one right in their eyes.

"Why?" asked the two, the expression on their faces looked sad.

"What should we change our name, Mommy?" Raphael asked confusedly.

"Ah! Can I add Batman to my name, Mommy?" asked Gabriel who used the opportunity to change his name.

"Batman? You're serious? That sounds stupid!" Raphael quipped.

"That sounds cool! You should call me Batman, Rapa!" Gabriel said with a serious face.

Raphael just shook his head at that and looked at his Mommy.

"I don't want a name like that, Mommy!" Raphael said seriously, worried that if Gabriel was given the name Batman, then he would also be given the same name.

"Ahem," Sarah cleared her throat briefly. She, who previously felt sad and had difficulty telling this, became a little better with the funny behavior of her babies.

"No, you're not going to use the name Batman," Sarah said with an amused smile. "The name you will use is Collins."

"Raphael Collins and Gabriel Collins," Sarah said, looking at her kids one by one.

The two kids fell silent when they heard that.

"Why?" Raphael asked confusedly. "I like using the name Smith. That sounds like Mommy's name," he protested.

"That... you have to use Daddy's name from now on. Collins is Daddy's name," Sarah explained with a smile.

"But I like Mommy's name," Gabriel said again, who seemed to be protesting because he didn't use his Mommy's name anymore

Sarah felt a little moved when she heard that. Smith isn't even her real surname. That she got from Teresa.

However, it turns out that her babies like to use her name.

"Your friends also use the same last name as their Daddy. So from now on you also have to use Daddy's last name," said Sarah trying to give an explanation that the kids could accept.

Both of them fell silent when they heard that.

"But... I still like Mommy's name," said Raphael shaking his head, refusing to change his name.

"Raphael..."

"How about this?" Michael suddenly stopped Sarah who was about to speak. "Raphael and Gabriel can still use Mommy's name, but also use Daddy's name," Michael said with a smile on his face.

The two kids looked confused when they heard what their father said.

"So... your names are Raphael Smith Collins and Gabriel Smith Collins," continued Michael.

Sarah's eyes widened at that. She didn't expect Michael to still allow her name to be used by their kids.

"Okay, I agree," Raphael said casually. He had no problem with that name.

Gabriel also nodded his head, agreeing to that.

Michael smiled with relief when his kids agreed to accept his name, as well as Sarah who was both relieved and touched because Michael wanted her name to be used by the kids.

Right now, Michael is in his office. His face was serious and his index finger was tapping on his desk. He was thinking about something.

Recently, his life seems to be getting better. He lives with Sarah and their kids, his position as CEO of Collins has become stronger and shareholders support him, and his father has recovered.

Everything seems to be running smoothly!

Even so, there was still something that bothered him, it's Sarah's attitude.

Sometimes the woman acted as if they were lovers. Sarah let him hold her hand, or pulled her in his arms when they were watching movies together in the living room.

However, the woman did not want to sleep with him anymore. He had even promised not to have sex with her, just wanted to sleep while hugging her, but she refused.

"Did I do something wrong?" thought Michael as he put his brain to work hard, thinking of what he did, or said, that made her put some distance between them again.

"Arghhhh!!! I have absolutely no idea!" said Michael in frustration then leaned back in his leather chair and closed his eyes. He felt frustrated.

After a few moments, Michael opened his eyes again. The expression on his face seemed calmer.

"Maybe I should just ask her that," Michael muttered under his breath as the idea crossed his mind.

He and Sarah had agreed to ask and not figure it out on their own if something happened, right?

Yes! He'd better ask that directly to Sarah because he didn't understand her attitude at all.

"But before that, I have to get rid of the two rascals first," Michael said, then took his cell phone and called his father.

Tonight he wanted to talk to Sarah, and he didn't want those two kids to bother him!

Sarah, who had just come out from the hospital, widened her eyes when she saw that only Michael was waiting for her and her two babies were not with him at all.

She then looked around, looking for the two kids who were probably playing not far away, but she couldn't find them at all.

"Where are the kids?" Sarah asked confusedly as she walked over to Michael.

Michael didn't answer right away, he took Sarah's hand and walked towards the direction of the apartment.

"This afternoon Dad called me and asked if the kids could play at their house, and it looks like they want to sleep over there," Michael said casually, trying to keep his expression and tone of voice from sounding suspicious.

Of course that is a lie. He was the one who asked his father to leave his kids there, and with a little persuasion, the two little kids had no problem staying at their grandparents' house.

"Ohh..." Was all that could come out of Sarah's mouth.

She had absolutely no problem with that because she knew that the kids loved being with Mr and Mrs Collins. Her relationship with Mrs. Collins had improved too, so she didn't worry that the old woman might say something bad to them.

Plus, tomorrow is Saturday. So there's no reason for her not to let the kids sleep there because they don't have to go to school.

"It seems the house will be a little quiet," said Sarah, looking ahead.

Normally, she would see the kids running ahead of them, but now they weren't there. It made her a little sad.

"Yes," Michael replied with a smile and then looked forward too, enjoying his time alone with Sarah.

When they arrived at the apartment, as usual, Sarah headed straight to her room to take a shower before she made dinner.

As soon as Sarah opened the door to her room, her facial expression immediately looked confused when she saw that there was a medium black box with a pink ribbon on her bed.

Sarah looked at the box suspiciously because this morning, she hadn't seen it there, before finally approaching it and slowly opening the box...
