Child of Destiny

823 The Unachievable State (Part 2)

...

Uno kept on switching the 'White Dawn Boundary' and 'Black Origin Threshold' which was really dangerous.

Professor Plum repeatedly warned Shin not to use these two breathing techniques together since it would not only destroy the foundation that he painstakingly built, but would also ruin his future.

Since the two breathing techniques were fully opposite of each other, the system and the rhythm that they had were also opposing each other.

They were not only affecting the minds of the user but they could also control the circulation of the Qi inside the body.

One of them was able to make one's mind tranquil, making the Qi circulation inside one's body completely tame.

On the other hand, the other breathing technique was able to make one enter a berserk state where their Qi became wild and circulated in a very violent manner.

Transitioning between a serene state and a berserk state could already make someone lose their mind, that reason alone was more than enough to warn someone from using the two breathing techniques together.

Aside from that, Qi Circulation under these two states was like a calm spring and a violent river. If the Qi inside one's body transitioned from flowing calmly to running violently, the meridian of that person would surely become ruptured and could lead to a permanent injury.

These were the two major reasons why using the 'White Dawn Boundary' and 'Black Origin Threshold' was dangerous.

But those things were only applicable to ordinary people, and Uno was naturally an exemption to that.

He was just an 'Ego' living within Shin, so losing his mind was already out of the quest. As for having a ruptured meridian due to the shifting of calm and violent Qi flow, that was also not a problem for him since he was within the Sea of Consciousness. This place was the perfect place to practice such a dangerous technique.

This might affect Shin a little later. But it was nothing compared to what Uno was about to achieve.

He kept on switching between the two breathing techniques and persistently stayed in the special state that the two had for as long as he could. And by doing this repeatedly, Uno had discovered something unusual when he was transitioning between the two.

Even though the 'White Dawn Boundary' and the 'Black Origin Threshold' were the complete opposite of each other, there was still a strange connection between them.

Uno knew that these two techniques had the same root since he learned them through Shin's experiences. In fact, they were just reverse breathing each other. And if that was the case, then it was possible to connect the two.

Uno experimented with a few things, trying to connect the two breathings. But unfortunately, all of it was fruitless.

Not only it was a complete failure, but the side-effect that he got from transitioning between the two breathing techniques also became worse.

He was still missing something, and it was the most crucial thing to complete the ideal state that he was trying to achieve.

Left with nothing, Uno could only continue fighting the seed demon while trying to get himself accustomed to the two breathings.

"One step at the time," he muttered as he continued to fight.

The longer he fought, the easier for him to switch between the two breathing techniques. The side-effects were still in there, but since he got used to them, he seemed to be not much affected by them. And when he noticed that slightly changed, he quickly added some difficulty to the mix.

He started wielding the 'Sacred Qi' and 'Demonic Qi' simultaneously instead of switching between the two of them.

Shin was usually doing this when he was using his Martial-Art Skills. But he could only do that when he was using the 'White Dawn Boundary'. After all, an accident might happen if he used the 'Black Origin Threshold' instead.

Shin knew his limit and the current state that he was in. The 'seed of hatred' within him might get out of control if he used a berserk technique while keeping the balance between the two opposing Qi.

At most, he could only use the 'Black Origin Threshold' for a limited amount of time when he was using the 'Sacred Qi' and 'Demonic Qi' at the same time.

But it was a completely different case for Uno since he didn't have to worry about the 'Seed of Hatred', especially when he was currently within the Sea of Consciousness.

Despite the accumulated burden that he got from the side-effect of his actions, Uno persistently held on and continued to increase the difficulty of this particular 'training'.

At this point in time, he added the two major styles of the 'Yin-Yang Martial-Arts' on top of everything that he was currently doing, the Black Dragon and White Tiger Styles.

Unlike Shin who could grow during a battle because of his 'Battle Genius' talent, Uno was someone who continuously grew by learning. He could grow as long as he put his mind to studying something.

Aside from the other battle talent that he was usually using when fighting, this was one of the abilities that he had.

Uno learned a lot of things during the battle and since he was fighting the seed demon for a long time already, he became familiar with all of the skills in his arsenal.

Hu~!

Transitioning between the 'White Dawn Boundary' and 'Black Origin Threshold' became his second nature. He could now switch between these two breathing techniques with ease and not worry about the side-effect that they had.

Wielding the 'Sacred Qi' and 'Demonic Qi' simultaneously was no longer a problem either. He might still be far from harmonizing the two completely, but using either of them alongside the Martial-Arts under his arsenal was not an issue anymore.

They were also not affecting each other negatively too. If ever, they were now amplifying the strengths that the other had.

On top of that, Uno also mastered the 'White Tiger Style' and the 'Black Dragon Style'. The former focused on heavy, explosive, and straightforward attacks while the latter emphasized the essence of counter-attacking and sneak attacks.

Combining these three weapons, Uno achieved a special state that the 'Ethereal Stage Experts' had, the Natural State.

This special state was achieved when a Martial-Artist reached the ideal style that they were looking for. A state where they were able to showcase their talent, and it was also a state where they could use their respective skills to their maximum potential.

Natural State was one of the essential skills that a Martial-Artist needed to reach the 'Ethereal Opening Stage' aside from cultivating their own 'Natural Force', the upgraded version of an Internal Qi after fusing them with a particular element that complimented the user.

There was a variety of 'Natural States' around the world, and each expert had a particular name for it just like the 'Dragonification' of the Springfield Family.

This Natural State that Uno had created might still be an incomplete one, but it was already more than enough to separate him from his peers.

Bang!

The seed demon was sent flying by a powerful strike from Uno, making him flip in the air in an awkward manner due to his gigantic size.

Bang!

Yet another mountain of bones and skulls collapsed when his massive body landed.

Grr!

Instead of continuing his assault just like what he was doing in the previous exchanges, the seed demon chose to remain standing on his spot and continued to look at his opponent warily.

It was because he noticed the great changes that Uno currently had. He was like an entirely different being compared to their first encounter.

Hu~!

Steam of hot air was coming out from Uno's mouth as he stood straight on his spot silently and continued to look at the seed demon with cold eyes.

But unlike the cold eyes that were devoid of any kind of emotion, the eyes that Uno currently had seemed to be burning wildly just like a raging flame in the middle of a cold night.

He looked like a wild beast that was about to go on a rampage at any given moment, but at the same time, he also resembled a poisonous snake that was waiting patiently for his prey.

The ideal state of the 'Black Origin Threshold' and 'White Dawn Boundary' alongside the 'Yin-Yang Martial-Arts', was being hot-hearted while also being cool-headed at the same time.

This special state was attainable in theory, but it was very hard to achieve. After all, being calm when you were a hot-headed person was already a difficult task more than being in that state naturally.

Regardless, Uno had achieved this state. And even if it was still in an incomplete stage, it was more than enough for Uno since it meant that he had already taken a step to reach its perfection.

And now that he already achieved everything that he wanted, it was time to end this 'practical lesson'.

The seed demon instantly noticed the sudden change in the surrounding atmosphere and instinctively wanted to run away.

Unfortunately, it was already too late for him to do anything.

Bang!

Uno suddenly appeared in front of him and slammed his head on the ground despite his massive size.

Immediately after that, Uno stabbed his hand on the chest of the seed demon before absorbing the Demonic Qi that the latter had.

"Didn't I say earlier that this is the time for your existence to disappear?" said Uno in a cold tone.

The seed demon wanted to say something, but despite his efforts of opening his mouth, the words failed to come out in the end. All he could do was look at Uno in full terror.

Everything happened according to what Uno had planned, but he still failed to put something into consideration.

He forgot that Shin was also having an intense battle outside, and was also about to reach enlightenment in his 'Yin-Yang Swordsmanship'.

The 'Yin-Yang Swordsmanship' and the 'Yin-Yang Martial-Arts were from the same roots, so the connection between the two was pretty strong. And since the 'White Dawn Boundary' and 'Black Origin Threshold' were created to complement these two arts, they were bound to affect each other.

The passage of time inside Shin's Sea of Consciousness might be different from the outside world, but since both Uno and Shin managed to achieve a special state at the same time, their cores resonated with each other and affected their respective states.

And that was when the unexpected accident happened.
