857 Faction D31

"The library was built with an idea that everything we learned from our adventurers would go into this space." Travis Wolkwitz said. He led Lee Seng, Keng, Olivia, and Ritsuka down the large magnificent hall towards the huge double-doors. "We wanted a space where we could compile information on different creatures, historical moments, Guild technology, etc. And have it at the ready. We are a part of the force that is fighting for our world back. To do that, the library quickly grew into a space where many adventurers come back and reference."

The doors flew open and Lee Seng's eyes were brought upwards. The library had large ceilings that let in sunlight. Many adventurers were sitting at holographic computers and researching, studying and even goofing off. The group gasped in amazement, looking in different directions.

"Feel free to link up to one of the holograph stations with your Guild bracelet. You'll get access to a plethora of things. If you need anything book-based, the farther that way you go, you'll get to a section that's blocked off based on ranks. I believe A-rank is close to the end." Travis Wolkwitz motioned. "Any questions?"

"No." Olivia shook her head. "I think we're good. Are you guys good?" The young men nodded and Travis gave one more big smile before nodding.

"I'll leave you to it then." Travis began to make his way out when he remembered something. "Oh, Mr. Zhang!" He looked over at Lee Seng. "I forgot to pay you as requested from Mr. Jaro. Do you have a phone on you?"

"I just got one yesterday." Lee Seng pulled his phone out and opened his bank account. He moved to the QR code and lifted it up to Travis. Travis lifted his bracelet up and scanned the QR code.

"Good. The money should be sent in a few." Travis nodded.

"Alright, thank you, sir. It's been a pleasure."

"If you have any more questions, ask the staff. They'll be happy to help. See you later!" Travis waved to the group and excused himself out of the library.

"Let's find some computers and get to work." Olivia motioned.

New reports are coming in from Capitol City that a new faction has appeared. The Guild, The Police, and the Military have been established as the three biggest areas an eighteen year old could join. It's come to our attention that a fourth faction, simply called D31, has come to fruition.

We don't know much about this new group but it appears D31 is all about order and ranks. Everyone in and around Captiol City is being offered a one time gift. This gift supposedly will 'bring a new world order and weed out the strong from the weak!'

UPDATE: D31 has grown their ranks in a short amount of time. Everyone who has gotten the gift has supposedly heard strange voices in their heads. Some have been admitted to the hospital while others made miraculous recoveries. Family and friends have also brought to our attention that—

There's an abrupt stop to the update with a link added to the end. Lee Seng clicked the link and watched as a video appeared. A familiar butler man stood in front of the familiar office building with the familiar New Yorker woman. She smacked her lips as she chewed on her gum while the man simply stared into the screen, unamused.

"Hello, everyone!" Queenie waved. "It's your girl, Queenie, with my co-worker, Neo! We're here in front of the D31 building to show you what's been happening since all of our gifts arrived at your front door!" The camera abruptly moved and showed a couple fainted people on the streets. Bald men are walking in and out of the building, picking up the unconscious people and bringing them inside.

"People have been taking the gifts and gaining a new… Ah, what's the world, Mr. Neo?" Queenie looked over at Neo.

"Epiphany." Neo answered.

"Right! Epiphany!" Queenie snapped her fingers. She pulled the camera close and smiled. "Anyone who takes our wonderful D31 juicer gift will come out a completely different person! And if you're special enough, you can join me and Neo in taking back our wonderful world!"

The video abruptly ended and Lee Seng sighed. He leaned back into his chair and stretched.

"Crazy, ain't it?" Olivia whispered to Lee Seng. Lee Seng nodded. His eyes focused on Queenie. She was crazy. He wasn't too familiar with the butler, but had a bad feeling he wasn't much off from Queenie. "What do you think we should do? I found some more information about D31."

"Like what?" Lee Seng rolled over to peek at Olivia's screen.

"There's been a bunch of people noticing D31 has been annoyingly infiltrating the three big areas for information." Olivia motioned.

"'D31 member infiltrates army and six people are injured, fifteen dead…?' W-wait." Lee Seng shook his head.

"It gets worse. I've been seeing forums where they're saying D31 is forcing people to take these 'juicers'. People have crazy mood swings, their blood lust grows uncontrollable, and oftentimes ends up with crazy scenarios like murder and arson being involved."

"The juicers at the beginning weren't like that?" Ritsuka asked, moving over.

"Nope. They weren't anything like they are now." Olivia shook her head.

"And they're ten times more expensive now." Keng added. He stood behind Lee Seng's chair and leaned forward.

"What should we do then? D31 is obviously a big problem. We can't just waltz in there and just dig around." Ritsuka whispered. Lee Seng turned away from Olivia's screen and looked at his.

'The Deimons I know are probably involved with this… Would they attack Olivia's village like that?' Lee Seng thought. Ritsuka felt a buzz in his pocket and dug out his new phone. It accepted the call and brought the phone to his ear.

"Hm?" Ritsuka answered. "Mmmhm… Okay… Yeah, we found some stuff… Sure, we'll meet you there… Now? W-why? O-okay. I'll let them know. Bye bye." He hung the phone up and turned to the others. "Manny wants us to meet up at this restaurant. Says we got a lot to talk about."

"Great. I was gettin' hungry." Keng smiled. Lee Seng looked at Keng, who removed himself from Lee Seng's chair. Lee Seng rolled over to his computer area and closed out of all the information and logged off.

"Who's callin' a taxi?" Lee Seng asked.

"I got it." Keng tapped away on his phone.

"Do you even know how to do it?"

"I've watched Manny and Ritsuka do it many times… And done! There's one coming in five minutes… Wait… We have to meet it on the corner?"

"Lemme see it." Lee Seng rolled over and snagged Keng's phone out of his hands. "You didn't mark it from the front end. It just took the closest end. I guess we'll have to go out that way." He handed the phone back and stood up and pushed his chair in.

The group exited one of the side exits. Lee Seng scrolled on his phone as he lingered behind the group.

"It's over here at the pick-up and drop-off zone there." Keng pointed.

"Alright. Slow down!" Olivia shouted, jogging over.

"C'mon, Lee Seng! You're getting left behind!" Ritsuka shouted. Lee Seng stared at articles worth of D31.

"I'm coming… Hold on." Lee Seng began to slip his phone into his pocket when he passed an alleyway. A whisper came and the next thing Lee Seng knew, darkness completely covered him.

It was warm. Lee Seng could feel beads of sweat slowly growing on his forehead. His hands were tied behind him and his legs were stuck together. Lee Seng had tried to use his powers, but felt nothing. It smelled of rust.

"Who are you?" Lee Seng shouted. He could hear footsteps moving off in the distance. Someone was quietly watching him. He could tell off their breaths. "Answer me!"

"Such a loud one." A male voice spoke. "Are you sure you grabbed the right one?" Footsteps walked closer to Lee Seng, stopping somewhere off to the left of him.

"I'm sure I did." A distorted voice spoke. "It seems like he doesn't understand what's happening."

"Let me outta here!" Lee Seng shouted. He grunted, pulling his arms a few inches apart. The first voice gasped and watched as Lee Seng's arms slammed back together.

"Bwahaha! He thought he could get out!" The first male voice laughed. "This one's wild! Shut it off." The sound of chimes rang and the darkness around Lee Seng let up. A light was pointed into Lee Seng's face, blinding him. Two sets of footsteps moved in front of Lee seng, barely visible to him.

"Well, well, well. He's more handsome than I thought." The first male voice complimented Lee Seng.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Lee Seng shouted, lurching forward.

"Stay." The distorted voice commanded. Lee Seng could hear chimes erupting all around him and pulling him back to his original spot. The light moved slightly away, revealing the abandoned factory room.
