“Eat slowly. There’s more if it’s not enough.” Quan Jue picked up a bottle of strawberry milk and opened the cap, placing it beside her.

Chi Jiao nodded with a smile. Her mouth was stuffed with noodles, and her cheeks were moving. She looked like a little hamster.

Gulp!

The sound of someone swallowing could be heard clearly.

Chi Jiao and Quan Jue looked at the mirror spirit, who was sitting beside her.

The mirror spirit was staring at the bowl of seafood noodles in front of her. Its eyes were filled with desire, and there was a transparent, suspicious-looking liquid at the corner of its mouth.

One must admit that it did look very adorable like that.

“You want to eat?” Chi Jiao asked the mirror spirit directly.

Only then did the mirror spirit realize that it was staring at her bowl in a daze. It turned away with a red face, proudly raising its small chin. “Mirror spirits are not like you fragile humans. We don’t have to eat to replenish our energy!”

Its power came from the magnetic field. It did not need to eat or sleep.

But.

That bowl of seafood noodles was very similar to the one its mother had made for it before it became a mirror spirit.

It just missed its mother.

Chi Jiao picked up a prawn and brought it to the mirror spirit’s mouth. “You really don’t want to eat? Sometimes, you eat not to replenish your energy, but because it gives you joy.”

The fragrance of the prawn kept seeping into the mirror spirit’s nose, causing it to drool again.

“I… I don’t want to eat…” The mirror spirit’s resolve sounded much weaker now. It couldn’t help but glance at the prawn.

It looked very much like a child who was in a deep dilemma.

Chi Jiao and Quan Jue looked at the mirror spirit and couldn’t help smiling.

The two of them wouldn’t make things difficult for something with the EQ of a child.

Quan Jue didn’t say anything. He ladled another bowl of noodles and placed it in front of the mirror spirit. “Eat it if you want.”

The mirror spirit didn’t expect him to really let it eat. It looked at the seafood noodles in front of it in a daze before looking at him with its big eyes.

Quan Jue was no longer looking at it. Instead, he was gazing at Chi Jiao dotingly.

The mirror spirit then looked at Chi Jiao, who had already turned her full attention back to eating her noodles. She didn’t pay attention to it, either.

Hence.

It lifted its small hand and quietly grabbed the chopsticks. It then quickly picked up the noodles and stuffed them into its mouth without caring if they were hot or not.

Its eyes lit up.

What delicious noodles!

After that, the mirror spirit could no longer be bothered with anything else and just focused on finishing the entire bowl of noodles.

Chi Jiao watched as the mirror spirit ate its fill. She licked her lips and shook her head helplessly.

What an awkward little fellow.

Quan Jue knew that Chi Jiao still had things to do, so he asked her to return to her room with the mirror spirit. He would wash the dishes in the kitchen.

After returning to the room, the mirror spirit looked like it was in a much better mood.

It was no longer as nervous as before.

“Is that young man your boyfriend?” the mirror spirit asked.

Chi Jiao glanced at it. “Is there a problem?”

“He’s not bad,” the mirror spirit said seriously.

“Of course.” Chi Jiao lifted her chin proudly.

“I don’t like to take advantage of people.” The mirror spirit walked to a chair and sat down. It then looked at her and said, “I have a story to tell you now. Do you want to hear it? Perhaps you can get the answer you want from this story.”

It originally wanted to fight with Chi Jiao to the end.

Now, it had changed its mind.

It was a well-respected, great mirror spirit and it would not owe favors to anyone.
