Lea chuckled. “I thought so too. But now that I think of it—Elvis nearly brought back all possible prey from the forest back into the stone castle. This level of food store would be enough to provide an abundant feast for even a large family like Sandy’s for an entire winter. Gu Mengmeng kept silent for a moment before her gaze landed on Miranda. “The collective mating fever of the snow foxes…”

Lea nodded again. “But Chixuan is a wolf. How could he know of this secret? How could he have accurately predicted the time of occurrence?”

Gu Mengmeng bit her lower lip before replying. “…Cole?”

Lea pinched Gu Mengmeng’s little nose. “Smart girl.”

“Then…” What in the world are those little rascals planning to do?” Gu Mengmeng was completely befuddled.

Lea said, “Compile all the information we have now. Cole would never mention the collective mating fever of the snow foxes to Chixuan without any good reason. So sending Miranda over was probably part of his plan. His goal… just as he mentioned earlier, was to make use of the mating fever to make me lose control and mate with Miranda. Lea loved seeing Gu Mengmeng get jealous over him. Hence, he nodded with a smile. “We will do everything according to your wishes.”
