Gregory sighed deeply, then walked towards the cave entrance. With his back facing Gu Mengmeng, he said, “If you want to leave, just leave. I’m not stopping you.”

After he said that, he extended his wings and flew away, with his back view disappearing in the snowstorm.

The location of the cave was unique – there were protruding rocks above the cave entrance, so snow could not pile up to block the entrance. Elvis and Lea dug more space deeper into the cave and with a few more turns inside, the cold wind could not reach Gu Mengmeng. Moreover, with either Elvis or Lea using their original beast form to hug Gu Mengmeng and block the wind, she did not feel any cold.

But…

Despite the large space, she still felt imprisoned.

Even though she had also been staying in a cave at Saint Nazaire, staying at home and being trapped brought her two different feelings.

Lea leaned against the cave entrance and looked down. He shook his head and laughed bitterly. “With such a height, if we tried to dig all the way down, we probably have to dig until the next messenger of the Beast Deity is born.”

Gu Mengmeng pouted and was displeased when she said, “Why is Gregory so weird? How could he fall out with us so suddenly? When he saved us initially, I still thought he was a kind person.”

Gu Mengmeng twisted her lips and thought that it was true.

Gregory trapped Gu Mengmeng here just so that she could stay by his side for a longer time and for him to have a chance for him to develop feelings with her.

Lea laughed softly and was not concerned about the choice that Gregory might make.

So long as Gu Mengmeng was safe, he was not bothered about his own death.
