One was a priestess while the other was a mage. As these two people discussed the issue of offspring from the perspective of a professional, the atmosphere was inevitably tense.

"Sika, I don't quite understand. Since a priestess isn't allowed to get married, why are they allowed to have children?"

"The people of Caucasus are like that. A priestess harnesses the power of nature. Take a look at the creatures living in nature, which of them are getting married other than humans?"

"Have you told the elders about us?"

"No, they will understand anyway, Caucasus people are not stupid. A priestess does have an obligation to bear children, because their descendants have a very high probability of becoming a priest or priestess. There is a decreasing number of them among the Caucasus people, most of them died in battles. If this goes on, no one will be around to spread the religion and it will simply fade away."

"Obligation? What does that mean?" Saleen felt incredulous when he heard that word. "Having children was also a duty?"

"It means that I have to bear several kids, I need to have at least one. If you cannot accomplish this, there are other people around." Sika grinned from ear to ear as she looked at Saleen.

"Other people? I will kill anyone who touches you!" Saleen bellowed. He had quite a headache. Even though the Caucasus people relied on themselves, they still listened to Sika. Sika's status was sensitive, and if he could not bear a child with her, the Caucasus people could possibly contemplate leaving since they had their own rules to abide by.

Thinking of that, Saleen said dejectedly, "But, according to the books, childbearing is not a guaranteed affair." At this point in time, Saleen thought to himself, "This cannot do, I don't want to care about this city anymore. At most, I will leave with Sika. Back when I was only an insignificant mage, I never had so many concerns. It is so vexing now that I have so many considerations."

"It is not guaranteed? I have an idea."

"What is it?"

"We will do it a few more times, the chances of success will be higher." As Sika spoke, she flipped over and pressed against Saleen's body.

"Sika… no! Uh, let's not do it now…"

Under the veil of Saleen's magic, the earth-shattering noises from the room did not even spread out. Nailisi was in a deep trance as she sat outside the door.

"Seems like Master really adores Sika, otherwise the vibrations in the depths of my soul wouldn't be so intense. Oh no, a priestess' child might treat me unkindly."

The Pan's Turtle alchemical boat traveled north at a speed of forty miles an hour and at a depth of two-hundred meters. When Irene left the room to help the winged skeleton re-input the position on the magic compass, Saleen and Sika had not exited the room.

An exhausted Saleen laid on the bed. Despite blessing himself with the Chunlin Spell several times, he still felt fatigued.

"Sika, let's take a break, we cannot rush this matter." Saleen then asked weakly, "How are you so energetic?"

"Humph, do you know that there was something wrong with the fish brain soup Irene gave you?"

"There was something wrong?" In one quick movement, Saleen sat up on the bed with his back upright. This action was a standard posture adopted by a swordsman. The physique of a normal mage would never be as good as Saleen's.

"Nothing serious, it was something like the Vigor Medicine. I think that woman wants to seduce you."

"Oh!" Saleen relaxed. Before eating anyone else's food, Saleen would cast the Toxin Detection secretly. This spell could not detect any kind of Vigor Medicine. Even a person who was familiar with pharmaceuticals could not possibly analyze the contents of every single natural substance.

"By the way, this medicine wasn't effective on you right?" Saleen knew that a priestess was stronger than a mage in terms of their constitution. A priestess from Caucasus never died from a plot, even though they were not as cunning as other people.

"If I don't want it to be effective, it won't be effective," Sika laughed loudly, feeling very smug. Just as she wanted to do this thing, someone gave her a helping hand, otherwise she would not have been so determined. Had she waited for Saleen to take the initiative, she might have to wait for at least three to five years.

"But you…"

"Me? Did you think that I would allow Lex to get ahead of me? So what if she has money and power? Saleen is mine." As Sika talked, she hugged Saleen and kissed him with a great deal of force.

Saleen could not decide whether to cry or laugh. "Who said that Caucasus people weren't possessive?" He embraced Sika, then said, "What about Lex? There is nothing between her and I." Recalling Lex's azure eyes, Saleen grew doubtful. He remembered being fond of that pair of eyes, yet this love had kind of faded already. "Could Sika have cast witchcraft on me?"

"The elders don't think that way though."

"Oh? What did the elders say?" Saleen did not dare despise those Caucasus people who had originated from the mountains, their intelligence was not low at all. They had their own language, words, religion, society, and legacy.

"If you were just a low grade mage, then of course there's nothing wrong. Lex would simply be using your connections to tap into the power of the mages from the Sregl Island." Sika still portrayed a boorish appearance, but her words were filled with wisdom. Sika was never dumb, she was just ignorant and too lazy to ponder about complicated matters.

"But it is starkly different right now. At such a tender age, you have become a grade-5 mage. Your teacher will push you to progress further, and you might be able to control all of Sregl Island. Originally, the best partner for Lex would be a royal from any other empires or duchies, she just needed to look for an heir. You are the better choice right now though. Other than Qin, which other imperial families possess such a strong magic force?"

"Lex will never engage in a transaction," Saleen replied flatly. He still remembered how Lex treated the Cloudflow envoy back in Holy Rock City.

"I think she is interested in you, otherwise she wouldn't have…" Sika did not finish her sentence. She was in such a hurry because she was afraid that once Lex made her move, Saleen would not be able to refuse her.

Saleen simply laughed. Sika was not scheming at all and that was what he loved about her. Saleen himself was not a calculating person either, but his life experiences gave him no choice but to be calculative, it was really tough on him.

"Humph, look at your smug face, do you still look like a mage?" Sika pressed down forcefully, causing Saleen to beg for mercy. Sika possessed way too much strength, if Saleen did not use any magic, he would have no means of retaliating at all.

"Oh yes, I remember you saying you have something for me." Sika stopped torturing Saleen. She knew that no matter how sturdy his body was, it was still no match for hers.

"That's right. Here, you should remember this." Saleen retrieved an arm ring from the Ring of Gifts. This arm ring was made out of bone. It was very simplistic, and no magic patterns were carved on it. Instead, there was a series of naturally-occurring holy texts which were etched on top of it. A piece of the Green Ghost rock was mosaicked on the exterior of the arm ring.

"It's beautiful!" Sika loved the rustic feel of the arm ring. She snatched it over and wore it on her left arm.

"There is a set of magic beast bones sealed inside. You should have the ability to refine it now."

"Mm, I might need some time, this set of bones is too mighty."

"Since you are a priestess, you cannot cast magic. I have added a half spell into this arm ring. You will be able to stimulate it with the Power of Life. This spell is a cured Water Shield, it will form a magic shield with a diameter of one and a half meters on either side of your body."

"Saleen, you still remembered to do all this for me, I thought that…" Sika was too touched to finish her sentence. For a mage, curing a spell would mean that his offensive ability would be reduced temporarily. Curing a spell for any type of equipment would result in the loss of some magic chords. These losses might require two or three years to be fully regained. Mages usually only carved magic arrays on their equipment, they were not willing to cure a low level spell.

A cured spell was much more useful than a spell which was stimulated from a magic array. A cured spell was cast instantly the moment it got activated, only two frames were required. That was not the case for a magic array. Not only did a magic array require a large quantity of magic nuclei, it was also constrained by the surrounding environment.

Even Sika, who was a straightforward person, kept caressing the arm ring. She remained silent for a long time.

"When I was producing this, I didn't know that you would become a warrior priestess, hence I decided to put in more effort." Saleen put on a relaxed demeanor. In order to make this arm ring, he had lost about a quarter of his magic chords. Given his recovery speed, he would need almost one year to regain it. It was all worth it for Sika.

In the beginning, he did not know how long Sika would take to become a warrior priestess. Sika might possess a lot of power, but she was most vulnerable to a mage's attacks. Saleen spent a long time crafting this cured spell on the arm ring. He even depleted a large quantity of dragon bones and high level magic nuclei.

In fact, this half spell was created solely for Sika by Saleen. Only a person like Sika who possessed the Power of Life would be able to stimulate it successfully. Of course, if the believers of the Goddess of Myers were still around, they would be able to wield this arm ring too. Saleen designed this half spell by using the goddess' divine spells as reference.

Now that Sika possessed this piece of equipment, it would not matter even if she fought recklessly on the battlefield.

Dang dang dang!

Someone was knocking on the door. Saleen removed the magic enchantment, then asked, "Nailisi, what is it?"

"Master, I am very tired, I want to sleep."

"Go to…" Actually, Saleen wanted to ask Nailisi to go to Sika's room, then he suddenly recalled that if he yelled, everyone aboard the ship would hear him. Then he corrected his words and said, "Give me a moment."

At this point in time, Sika got a little embarrassed. She began looking for her clothes in a fluster and put them on. Saleen also donned his demonic set in a hurry. Seeing that Saleen had put on his clothes properly, Sika then jumped off the bed and went to the door to remove the club which was used to block the door.

Once the door was opened, Nailisi stood there looking wearied as she dragged her feet into the room. She made a beeline for Saleen's bed. Once she got to the bed, she collapsed onto it with a thump, going to sleep immediately.

Sika stared at Saleen in astonishment, she could not be bothered being jealous of Nailisi. No matter how perfect Nailisi appeared to be, she was still an imp. It was impossible for Saleen to have any sexual desires for a demon. Sika was astounded because she could really detect that Nailisi was worn out and could not resist sleeping.

"Eh?" Saleen reached out to open Nailisi's eyelids. Nailisi's green pupils had turned golden in color.

"Evolving again?" Saleen could not believe it, but all the signs displayed by Nailisi indicated that she had acquired another space for growth. The moment she woke up, she would surprise Saleen.
