Eldrian did not ask Zamia what she meant. He felt he had quite a good idea as he looked at the air which was still visibly vibrating.

'Why are you not going with them?' Eldrian asked as the air started returning to normal.

'Someone needs to stay here and make sure that it is safe.'

They stayed next to each other for a few minutes, in silence. Finally Zamia asked, 'Are you ready to share what you kept from us?'

'It is hard to explain, I don't even fully understand.' Eldrian replied, wondering how far he should go to explain things,

'Just try.'

Eldrian did, first trying to explain things himself, quickly finding that this took a great deal of effort. So he skipped most things and focused on the core things he knew. Things like the fact that the monster invasion would last far longer than normal, maybe even forever.

Eldrian made sure to not bring up that he was playing a game, something which he found really taxing to avoid with this type of communication. Especially when he tried explaining how he knew Vivian was here.

He ended up explaining players, by explaining all the system things as blessings from the gods.

...

There you are. Agamemas flew straight for Andreas, letting loose some of his feathers which dived down faster than bullets.

Andreas, sensing danger, turned into a black shadow and teleported away. The feathers hit nothing but the surroundings, cutting trees like they were nothing. Rending the ground and leaving long cleave marks.

"Come back you bastard!" Agamemas shouted as he saw Andreas disappearing through his black shadow, casting his own teleportation Agamemas followed.

Curse the royal's bloody bloodline! Agamemas thought as Andreas kept disappearing from his view as soon as he appeared. Agamemas wished he knew how to stop the devil from using that darn ability. Alas, this was a special bloodline ability of a royal clan of high devils.

It was one of the trickiest abilities to deal with since they needed very little to empower their teleportation. It allowed them to teleport through shadows, at almost no cost.

Agamemas on the other hand needed to use thousands of mana points each time he teleported. Luckily he had more than enough to spare, but he was still slightly slower than Andreas's.

Not being able to kill the bastard who hurt his family royally pissed Agamemas off.

On his next teleportation, he imbued his feathers with fierce light. Shining brightly the feathers rained down on Andreas. Agamemas hoped this would keep Andreas from using his teleportation. It did indeed work.

Seeing that he could not teleport, Andreas opted for one of his other abilities. Turning into a pure black flame Andreas avoided the attack. Coming out of this flame his form had changed.

Now he was a two-meter tall human-like creature. He still resembled humans very much, but a few things had changed.

His skin was now a dark red color, two small horns grew from his head and a scally tail from his back. His eyes also changed, forming black flames instead of irises. These flames seemed alive, representing his core bloodline power.

Andreas casually looked at the damage around him, then at Agamemas who was charging at him. "You seem pissed, why don't you just let me out. Else I might go for..." Andreas disappeared before Agamemas could reach him.

Cursing Agamemas expanded his mental field to find the bastard, teleporting as soon as he found him. He was a split second too late. Having been shocked that Andreas possed two of the strongest abilities. Since when do the royals interbreed?

This shock had given Andreas just enough time to wring a small Pegasus's neck. Agamemas arrived just in time to see the child die, Andreas absorbing his soul to make it permanent.

The child had been playing away from the glade, enjoying himself until a flame suddenly appeared before him. Curious the child had not run immediately, having lived all his life in peace. As had most in this forest. This had given Andreas enough time to quickly end the child's life for good.

Agamemas's fury exploded as he saw the grin on Andreas's face. Blindingly bright white light grew out of his body and turned anything it touched into a fine powder.

Oh fuck, run! Andreas only had this thought as he saw Agamemas release an explosion of light. He had no idea what spell or ability it was, but it seemed even stronger than his father's ultimate trump card.

As he disappeared into the shadows Andreas smiled to himself, wondering how much longer the Alicorn was going to chase him. He started hoping to actually make the Alicorn go mad with fury.

...

'Let me get this straight, the monster invasion is the last? One which will not end until one side turns up as the victor.' Zamia asked, 'Just how do you know this?'

'The gods informed us when we teleported here.' Eldrian lied, hoping that she would not call him on it. He really did not want to mention that they were actually just a science project of a few geeks who then later turned that project into a game.

Eldrian felt that most living people would not be able to accept this. He certainly placed these magical creatures into this category too, even though they might not be humans. They were able to communicate and reason, hence he felt that they were people.

'So the prophecies were correct.' Zamia sighed after taking some time to come to terms with what she had heard.

'What prophecy?' Eldrian asked, wondering just what Zamia was sighing for.

'There is a prophecy from the age of heroes, which stated: The appearance of a black Alicorn means the end of what is known. The fight for survival and fall of nations.'

'This is why Cephaphyr is often bullied by others, we had no idea how this prophecy was meant to be interpreted. Many believed that it meant he would bring this destruction, as had happened in the past.'

'But those were cases where an Alicorn had fallen, their pure white pelts turning darker than the abyss. Cephaphyr is the first to be born black, and he is not totally black. His feathers are a beautiful emerald.' Zamia's voice lifted as she said the last part, glad that her son did not fully conform to the prophecy. This was also something she often tried to use to explain that he was not the bringer of destruction.

'The others did not care for this?' Eldrian added, receiving a nod from Zamia.

'They will likely also blame this all on him. And you.' Seeing Eldrian's disregard for the later part Zamia sighed, 'Must be nice to not have to care about dying.'

Eldrian had also expanded on what Chosen were, how they would not die and how he had both an inventory and map. This was how he tried to explain that he knew Vivian was here, and alive. He had made sure to explain everything as blessings, but he could feel that Zamia knew this was not true.

Luckily she had not pressed him for the truth.

At this time a massive explosion was heard. The shockwave reached them and bent the treetops, weaker trees snapping in half.

Eldrian was knocked from his feet as the shockwave reached them, landing hard on the ground he could feel something had broken. Cursing he looked at his stats, shocked that he had lost more than half his HP.

Is the devil so tricky? Zamia asked herself, as she did she got an extremely bad feeling.

Zamia quickly stood up from her position, "This is bad, really bad!" Her emotions were so worried that her thoughts spilled into the air.

Spreading her wings she darted into the air. The air she generated from taking off knocked Eldrian onto his back again.

"Stop!" Zamia shouted as hard as she could, looking at her husband in great angst.

"Noooo! The bastard escaped again!" Before Agamemas could teleport again, he felt his wife's wings covering him.

"Dear... Calm down." She said, placing her head against his.

Agamemas calmed as he felt his wife's presence and calming energy.

'This way will not work, have everyone come to the glade, I will protect them. This will free Xaxus and the others to help you chase him. Maybe leave Telalios with me, if everyone is there I might not be able to keep them all safe.'

Breathing deeply Agamemas slowly agreed, sending a message to the others to start evacuating. He would keep Andreas busy until they finished.

Eldrian was still getting back up when he saw Zamia returning, she directly told everyone to gather and if anyone was not here that they should go get them. If they did this though, they needed to at least have a Tier 5 Alicorn or else someone at Tier 7 join them.

Once she finished sortings things with the others she came towards Eldrian again.

'You need to be informed about what you are fighting.' She said, placing her head against Eldrian's and wrapping him in her wings.

'Do not resist.'
