Graphene prepared using the redox method contains rich oxygen-containing functional groups and is easy to modify.

However, when reducing graphene oxide, it is difficult to control the oxygen content of the reduced graphene. At the same time, graphene oxide will continue to reduce under the influence of external conditions such as sunlight and high temperature in the carriage during transportation. Therefore, the redox method is used to produce The quality of graphene products is inconsistent from batch to batch, making it difficult to control quality.

The third method is SiC (silicon carbide) epitaxy. The SiC epitaxy method sublimates silicon atoms out of the material in a high-temperature environment in ultra-high vacuum, and the remaining C atoms are reconstructed through self-organization, thereby obtaining a SiC lining. This method can obtain high-quality graphene from bottom graphene, but this method generally has higher requirements for equipment.

Commercial graphene preparation depends on cost. The cost of graphene preparation has been reduced by Huaxia Company, which mainly uses the second method.
