Harry Potter's Bastard
Chapter 8
Solim is unusually interested in magic.
Potions, spells, and transfigurations have been exposed to and accumulated knowledge since he was a child. But he wasn't that interested in certain courses, such as flying.
In Solim's opinion, it would be awkward to sit on it with or without a cushion charm on the broom. It has nothing to do with gender, purely because Solim himself isn't interested in flying - presumably.
The afternoon was Slytherin's first flying lesson with Gryffindor, and Solim wasn't going to go - so he needed an excuse not to go. Solim didn't have enough time right now, he had to work on Sylna's business, and he had to figure out how to get Snape to agree to help him - an owl had brought bad news yesterday. He couldn't afford to leave his own magic studies behind, and he had to open a small stove for Neville and Hermione tonight, and he had to spend a lot of time flipping through those magic books. Solim wanted to make a time turner.
At lunchtime, he quickly filled his stomach and headed over to the Gryffindor table. He didn't go to flying lessons in the afternoon, and he had something to explain to Neville.
Solim had just passed by and saw Neville with a ball in his hand.
"It's a memory ball. Neville turned his back to Solim and explained to the classmates around him, "Grandma knows I always have no memory, and the memory ball will tell you if something you forgot to do, hold it like this, and if it turns red, oh-" The memory ball in Neville's hand turned red, "That means you forgot something." "
"That is, Neville," Solim whispered from behind Neville, "you forgot what I told you, did you?"
Neville quickly turned his head at Solim's voice, and Solim dared to say that he heard Neville's cervical spine dislocated. "So, Solim, oh my god, I remembered. The orb of memory in Neville's hand turned white again.
"What are the Slytherin vipers doing in Gryffindor?"
"Since you remember, prepare well, and I'll check it in the evening. Don't let your grandma down, Neville. Solim ignored Ron, patted Neville on the shoulder and nodded to Hermione before leaving. He was confident that the clever little witch would be able to keep Neville accountable for the rest of the day.
Hermione frowned as Ron, who was still muttering, took Neville away. Hermione and Neville have rarely returned to the Gryffindor common room recently, and through Solim Hermione knew that there were many, many empty classrooms and hidden rooms at Hogwarts, and Hermione, who usually did her homework and read books, preferred to find such a room instead of going back to the Gryffindor common room, after all, the Gryffindor common room was too noisy for Hermione. With Solim as a goal to learn and catch up, Hermione's enthusiasm for learning was simply terrifying, and Solim could feel Hermione's obvious progress every time he opened a small stove.
Flying lessons are no less important for a first-year wizard than an elementary school student taking a computer lesson for the first time. The young wizards boasted to each other about their flying experiences, and those who didn't know the details would have thought it was a group of world-class Quidditch stars.
Neville was silent, for he had never touched a broomstick, and he had only flown once—the time he was thrown from the upstairs by Uncle Argil. Hermione's approach was quite "Hermione" - holding a book about flying and looking at it, hoping to master the skills of flying through the book.
"Hermione, Solim said that flying is a matter of talent. What is written in the book should not be of much help to you. "Neville has changed a lot, at least he doesn't stutter out of nervousness now—except against Solim.
"What then? I'm a Muggle and I've never flown before. "Hermione has been nervous since she knew there was a flying lesson in the afternoon.
"I guess it's nothing, Solim he told me, he hasn't flown either, and he hates broomsticks. Neville and Hermione were following the group to the lawn where the flying lessons were taken. "That's why he didn't come to flying lessons. Neville whispered to Hermione.
Hermione wasn't happy with Solim, who believed that only spells, potions, and Transfigurations were important, and everything else was optional. Hermione, on the other hand, believes that all Hogwarts courses should be studied seriously, rather than being biased like Solim.
Slytherin and Gryffindor had a little trouble in flying lessons. Neville was taken to the infirmary by Mrs. Hodge after falling as in the original books, and Harry and Draco were ready to "negotiate" about the ownership of the orb. But Hermione said, "If you dare to touch Neville's stuff, I'll tell Solim." "
Before Draco was stunned, Harry immediately picked up the orb of memory. Draco's face was a little unbearable, his dignified young master of the Malfoy family had let a "mudblood" threaten him.
"You damn 'mudblood', you dare to threaten me!" Draco, who felt like he had lost face in front of the Slytherin students, uttered a sentence that had not gone through his brain at all.
Putting Gryffindor and Slytherin together, with no professor watching next to them, this has the conditions for conflict again, what else can the result be?
By the time Professor McGonagall arrived, there were already quite a few people lying on either side. The result was that Gryffindor and Slytherin were each deducted 100 points. Draco was grabbed by Professor McGonagall's ear and taken to Snape's office.
Solim looked at Professor McGonagall and Draco at the door in surprise, and he had the impression that Professor McGonagall should have taken Harry to Wood instead of Draco to Snape. The conversation with Snape was interrupted as soon as he got to the point, and Solim was a little upset.
"Professor Snape, Mr. Malfoy insulted a Gryffindor girl in flying lesson, causing the freshmen of Slytherin and Gryffindor to fight, and I haven't seen a group fight in all my years of teaching. I hope you will be able to make Mr. Malfoy realize his mistake. Professor McGonagall finished speaking before noticing another person in the office.
"Mr. Selwyn, why are you here? Didn't you go to flying lessons? Skipping class is not what a good student should do. "Professor McGonagall has a good impression of Solim, who always does a good job of both class and after-class assignments.
"I'm sorry Professor McGonagall, but I have something to do with Professor Snape. It won't be the case next time. Solim honestly admits his mistakes. When elders point out your mistakes, whether it's right or wrong, as long as you don't want to complicate things, it's best to admit your mistakes happily. Solim didn't want to force an explanation or bite the fire on himself.
Looking at Professor McGonagall as she departed, Snape slowly shifted his gaze to Draco's.
"Don't have a next time. "
Turn around and close the door in one go.
Inside the office, looking at Snape back to his desk, Solim spoke, "Like I said, Professor, I need your help. "
The whole of Hogwarts knew that Snape liked to favor Slytherin students, but only because of it. Ever since he received his grandfather's second letter, Solim had been thinking about how to get a Potions Master like Snape to promise to help him research and develop potions. In order for Squibs like Filch and Syrna to be able to use magic again, there must be a potion that can rejuvenate these lifeless powers.
Solim flipped through the book as well, and he couldn't find a potion that had this effect. In desperation, he had no choice but to trouble his grandfather, but his grandfather was not good at potions, so his grandfather had to go to his colleagues. Unfortunately, these so-called colleagues are so busy that they simply don't have the leisure time to help. It went back and forth, and in the end, Solim had no choice but to try his luck with Snape.
Unsurprisingly refused, Solim had been mentally prepared for Snape's refusal. For Snape, Solim can be said to know very well, he knows what to do with this man who is cold on the outside and hot on the inside.
"The Avada Curse is a great spell, Professor Snape. Solim saw Snape's face cold and continued, "I'll forget it, but Potter was directly hit, he didn't die, and the bloodline protection charm from Lily Evans protected Potter from death." But that madman," Solim pointed to Snape's arm, "the man who left you the marker, well, let's count him as a man, and why didn't he die?" Professor Snape, do you know why?".
"Does this have anything to do with me?" Snape's eyes were hollow and numb as he looked at Solim, who knew he had activated Occlumency when he heard Harry's mother's name.
"Of course, Professor, of course. Do you know about Horcruxes?" Solim ignored Snape's reaction when he heard the Horcruxes and continued, "The wizard who made the 'Horcrux' cannot be killed until the Horcrux is destroyed. So......" Solim smiled and didn't continue.
Snape unconsciously grabbed his left arm, where Voldemort had given him the Dark Mark of the Dark Devil.
"That's right, he'll be back. I don't think the principal told you that. Solim looked around and couldn't find a place to sit - except Snape's thighs.
"Do you think an old Dumbledore can stop Voldemort, protect Potter, destroy that madman's Horcrux and eventually send him to his death?" Unfortunately he failed - he had to keep standing.
"You mean you can do it? I doubt it. "
"I don't have to deal with that madman, and I can't do anything to destroy his Horcruxes. That's all the headmaster should be worried about, and I'm saying I can help you protect Potter. Potter hates you, and you hate him, as anyone who isn't blind can see it. But I didn't have a conflict with Potter, and even if I was a Slytherin, and even if the Weasleys were fanning the flames, I could find plenty of reasons to approach Potter, after all, my silly cousin was a Gryffindor, so I could intervene in Neville's affairs in the open. "
"It's ridiculous. Snape looked at Solim, who was wandering around his office, and asked, "Why do you think I care about Potter's life?"
"Professor," Solim turned his head to Snape, "you're not bored with that, but I'm here with sincerity." Walking over to Snape's desk, Solim propped his hand over the table and looked into Snape's eyes. "Don't confuse me with ordinary wizards, I know more than you think, professor. "
Snape was unmoved.
"Well, Professor Snape, I'll make one last offer: you can help me with the potions, and I'll let you meet with someone. Solim smiled, "Lily Evans. "
Snape jerked to his feet, his eyes meeting Solim's eyes.
"Professor, you really have no scruples. Solim looked away. "Aren't you afraid of making me an idiot with such a rough deception?".
"She's dead. Snape's steady voice couldn't hide the trembling inside of him, and Solim could feel it.
"Oh, of course, of course she's dead," Solim motioned for Snape to sit down, "and being alive with the Blood Curse is rarer than not dying with the Death Curse." "
Motioning to Snape to calm down, Solim continued, "Potter's mother used the Blood Charm, and while I don't know how she learned it, she did. There is absolutely no chance that a wizard with a blood spell will survive. "
"Let's put aside the topic of magic and talk about life. Looking around again, Solim said a little embarrassed, "Until then, Professor, can you get me a chair out?" Your office is full of bottles and cans, and I can't find a target for spellcasting." "
Solim's current Transfiguration can only "transform" matter, not create anything out of thin air like a powerful Transfigurer.
Snape pulled out his wand.
"Ah, Professor, you'd better bring a backrest. "Anyway, it's already open, and Solim thinks it's not a big deal to make a few more requests. And for Snape, there was not much difference between having and not having a backrest.
"Thanks," Solim sat down in the chair he had just conjured, "and then let's move on, on the subject of life." "
For the vast majority of wizards, the subject of life does not come into their field of vision at all. And the few wizards who study life are limited to body and soul. But through the Codex of a wizard named Ralde, Solim learns the three elements of a complete life: body, soul, and consciousness. The body wraps the soul, and the soul wraps the consciousness. Only with all three can we call life complete. The ghosts of Hogwarts are not souls, but remnants of consciousness. Although most wizards treat them as spirits.
Generally speaking, the inability of the body to continue to carry the soul means death. But the soul does not dissipate immediately, and the soul, like the body, ages. When the soul is old enough, or the will is weak enough, a person's existence will completely die out and cease to exist.
Potter's mother did lose her body in exchange for a blood curse so that Voldemort could not harm Potter - and this was the manifestation of Lily Evans' will.
Ordinary people talk to each other through physical organs such as the vocal cords, mouth, and tongue. This is just the appearance. It is essentially an exchange between two consciousnesses, just by what means. You can communicate when you write, and you can communicate with your eyes. So as long as Lily Evans' will exists, then it will be able to communicate, but because of the lack of visible flesh, ordinary means cannot establish a connection between the dead and the living.
"So, Professor Snape," Solim pulled a piece of parchment from his bosom and placed it in front of him, "you help me with this potion, make sure it works, and I'll let you see Lily Evans." "
Solim stood up, looked at Snape's face that was no longer numb, and said, "Professor, when you'll see her depends on when you give me the potion. "
