Harry Potter's Bastard
Chapter 237
"Damn! my hands are frozen, when are they coming?"
"My feet are numb......"
"Quiet, stay quiet!" Professor McGonagall glared back at the student team.
It was a cold, airy evening, and night was falling, and a white, translucent moon was already hanging over the Forbidden Forest.
Some of the students shivered with excitement at the thought that Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students were about to arrive—or they could be freezing, of course. It's November soon, and the temperature in the UK is already very low.
"Ah, if I'm right, they're already here. Dumbledore, who was standing with the professors, said suddenly.
The students were shaken and began to look around, but they saw nothing.
"Where?" asked the students eagerly, looking in different directions.
"There!" a sixth-grader shouted, pointing over the Forbidden Forest.
A behemoth, much larger than a broomstick—or a hundred, was speeding across the sky toward the castle, growing larger and larger.
As the black behemoth skimmed over the treetops of the Forbidden Forest, illuminated by the lights of the castle window, they saw a great powder-blue carriage flying towards them. It was the size of a house, and twelve winged horses flew through it, all silver-maned horses, each of which had twice as many as normal horses.
The carriage flew lower, and it was landing rapidly, and the students standing in the front row hurriedly retreated, for fear of being hit. With a loud bang, the carriage stopped. The door was emblazoned with a very conspicuous coat of arms: two golden cross-crossed wands, each with three stars popping out of it - yes, the crest of Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The door opened, and a boy in a light blue robe jumped out of the carriage, bent over, groping for something on the floor of the carriage, and then opened a golden spiral staircase. He jumped back respectfully, only to see a shiny black heel poking out of the carriage - just as the students looked at the ridiculously large heel, a woman of sheer size comparable to Hagrid appeared in amazement, perhaps larger than Hagrid.
When she stepped into the light that spilled from the foyer, they found that she had a very handsome olive face, dark, watery eyes, and a very pointed nose. Her hair was combed back and tied in a shiny bun at the base of her neck. She was wrapped from head to toe in a black forged garment, and many precious opals shone around her neck and on her thick fingers.
The difference between her and Hagrid can be seen here - not in terms of gender, of course, but in the fact that this woman who is obviously also of giant blood is much better dressed than Hagrid.
Dumbledore began to applaud, and his classmates clapped their hands, many on tiptoe, trying to see the woman more clearly. Her face relaxed, an elegant smile bloomed, and a glittering hand reached out toward Dumbledore. Dumbledore, though also tall, barely bent over when he kissed the hand.
"Merlin, her legs are taller than mine!" the students began to whisper, but quickly died down under Professor McGonagall's piercing gaze.
"Dear Lady Maxime," said Dumbledore, "welcome to Hogwarts. "
"Dumbledore," Lady Maxim said in a deep voice, "I wish you all the best. "
"Very good, thank you. Dumbledore said.
"My students. Madame Maxim said, waving a huge hand nonchalantly behind her.
The students had just stared at Madame Maxim, when they noticed that about twelve or three students had disembarked from the carriage and were now standing behind Madame Maxim. Judging by their appearance, they were all about eighteen or nineteen years old, and they were all trembling slightly, for their robes seemed to be made of fine silk, and none of them wore cloaks. This is the typical need for demeanor and not temperature.
They all looked up at Hogwarts Castle, and many of them showed disdainful expressions, which made many Hogwarts students frown.
"Is Karkaroff here?" asked Madame Maxim.
"He'll come anytime. Dumbledore said, "Would you rather wait here to meet him, or would you rather go in and get warm?"
"Let's warm up. Lady Maxime and Dumbledore were talking, and the Hogwarts students were already focused on the Beauxbatons students, and they were surprised to find that most of the students from Beauxbatons were women.
When Madame Maxim entered the castle with her students, the scene fell silent again. They waited for guests from the last school to come to their door.
Many of the students were getting impatient - dinner at Hogwarts had already begun at this time.
At that moment, a loud and strange sound came to them from the darkness: a suppressed rumbling and sucking sound, like a giant vacuum cleaner moving along the riverbed.
Soon the students discovered the source of the sound: the black lake seemed to be boiling, and there was a huge splash of water. A huge whirlpool appeared in the middle of the black lake, and a long black rod-like thing slowly rose from the whirlpool. Quite a few people have already recognized it, it is a mast.
The big ship rose out of the water, glittering in the moonlight. It looked eerie, like a skeleton, as if it were the remains of a wreck that had just been salvaged, and a plank was placed on the shore after anchoring, and a group of people quickly walked out of the cabin.
"Dumbledore!" cried the man enthusiastically as he walked up the slope, "how are you, my dear old fellow?"
"Great, thank you, Professor Karkaroff. Dumbledore replied.
The students of the other three houses didn't react much when they heard the name, but some of the Slytherin students narrowed their eyes and looked at the goatee-bearded wizard with disdain. Slytherin students know exactly what kind of person Karkaroff is.
The students from Durmstrang stepped forward one by one, and many of them began to get agitated.
"Oh my God! that's Krum!"
"I can't believe it! It's him!"
"Do you think I'll be able to ask him for an autograph later? I want him to sign on my underwear......"
The Quidditch-fanatical students began to get agitated, but Solim didn't look at the gloomy Krum, but at the two men standing in front of him, and even after years of not seeing each other, Solim quickly found them: Sakitrithridge and Otto Lemston, whose temperament was too conspicuous among the students.
At the same time that Solim looked at them, the two men also saw Solim.
One eye is full of tyranny and madness, while the other is full of bitter hatred and a strange death.
