The Ganxi Public Security Department specially organized a working group to be stationed in the Ceramic Research Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry at that time to supervise the "leader with porcelain" project, which was regarded as the number one major project in 1975 by the central government at that time, so the code name of the document was "7501" project.

According to the recollections of Mr. Yang Huoyin, one of the main persons in charge of the former deputy director of the institute "7501", Mr. Liu Ping, one of the designers of the peach blossom picture of colored water dots on the porcelain glaze and the current chief arts and crafts artist of the institute, and Ms. Wang Guiying, the director of the art room of the institute and the main designer of the tableware type, one day in early 1975, a deputy secretary of the Jingdezhen Municipal Party Committee in western Jiangxi Province came to the institute and conveyed the instructions of the superiors to Tang Boheng, secretary of the party committee of the institute, Fang Zong, director of the institute, and other leaders, requiring the institute to develop and produce porcelain for Taizu's daily use. The leadership of the Institute attaches great importance to it and regards it as an important task.

Because it was the beginning of the year, Director Fang Zong set this task as the No. 1 task in 1975, that is, the "7501 mission", and made the "7501" project arrangement, and used the code name "7501".

After the production documents of the "7501 Project" were officially issued, the Ganxi Provincial Public Security Department immediately formed a special working group, and the director led a team to Jingdezhen to supervise the implementation of the project. The Scientific Research Institute of the Ceramic Industry, like many other units, was under military control. After the military representatives and business leaders formulated a specific implementation plan, they carried out a general mobilization in the whole institute.

At that time, the Ceramic Research Institute concentrated a group of Jingdezhen's best ceramic technical talents, from which more than 40 technical, politically progressive, and problem-free design, production and production personnel were selected. All the personnel involved in the project have undergone strict political review. Sentry posts are set up around the kiln, and those who are not approved by the engineering headquarters are not allowed to enter. Anyone who has "problems" in history does not dare to approach the kiln. From material selection to molding, from glazing to painting, to sintering, packaging and other most of the processes are completed by hand, and there are public security officers to monitor to ensure product safety.

Before production, first of all, two tons of selected materials are selected by hand from ten tons of excellent raw materials.

At that time, there was not enough manpower, and the engineering headquarters transferred hundreds of "red soldiers" to join the material selection work.

If the participants in the project enjoy a sense of political trust, but their work is very hard and risky, they often do not have to rest for many days and cannot go home, and if something goes wrong, it is likely to be classified as a political problem by the upper class.

It was under this circumstance that the very famous Mao porcelain in the history of Chinese porcelain was born.

The immortal art masterpiece "Mao porcelain" that is comparable to the official kiln of the Song and Ming dynasties has become the peak of artistic masterpieces and unique categories standing side by side in the forest of Chinese porcelain together with the official kiln of the Song and Ming dynasties.

Since then, "water point peach blossom" has also been used to refer to "Mao porcelain", also known as "red official kiln" and "** porcelain".

In order to make this batch of porcelain, it is said that 1.2 tons of raw materials were selected from more than 10 tons to specifically fire 7501 porcelain. The pattern is selected underglaze red plum and overglaze water dot peach blossom, etc., the reason why plum blossoms and peach blossoms are used is because Taizu likes these two kinds of flowers, and he has written poems specifically for these two kinds of flowers.

Why do all household items have lids?

There are two theories about this, one is that considering that Taizu is very busy with work and has no time to drink, he is specially equipped with a thermal insulation lid, and the other is that the dining place was far away at that time, and it was inconvenient to serve it back and forth, so a lid was specially added.

All the "7501" porcelain has a white background and looks crystal clear, and the colors on all the utensils are divided into two categories: some are gorgeous plum blossoms, while others are pink peach blossoms. Unlike the usual tableware, all the tableware has a lid except for the spoon.
