What really made Wu Yingji unacceptable was to see his relatives and comrades-in-arms die tragically one by one. These are loyal ministers and righteous men, and with their knowledge, character and ability, they can live a better life in the new dynasty and live a peaceful and prosperous life. However, these people listened to his call or fooled, established the belief of victory, mustered up the courage to resist, happily used their own heavenly spirit cover to hit the mace of the people, and went to death calmly and righteously, it can be said that these people were killed by him. Although his uncle also cheated him when he was a child, he at least achieved his literary name, and now he has killed too many relatives, comrades-in-arms, and subordinates. These people may not blame him, but Wu Yingji himself blames himself, it is his obsession and stubbornness that killed everyone, and now he is awake with his eyes closed and dreaming that it is all these people, and his vivid faces suddenly fell down one by one in front of the Qing people's iron horse, turning into a cold corpse, including his three-year-old granddaughter. Wu Yingji can be patriotic, noble, and sacrifice his life for the country, but he is not qualified to ask others to be noble, and he is not qualified to ask others to eat his melons.

Summing up Wu Yingji's life, it is basically a tragedy, except for a series of literary works that are not very famous, he has not been very brilliant, but this does not detract from the fact that he is a man and a righteous man who is willing to give his life for his ideals. Wu Yingji's shining point is not in his life, but in his death, he doesn't owe Da Ming anything, and even Da Ming still owes him, he doesn't need to bury Da Ming who will die, and the Qing people also gave other choices, but he looks for death himself and uses his life to practice his values.

When it comes to Wu Yingji, there is a revolutionary martyr who has to be mentioned - Qiu Qiubai. Qu Qiubai and Wu Yingji were almost the same, facing the executioner who was about to be executed, he very calmly chose a cemetery for himself, said "This place is very good", and then calmly took justice and died generously. His short life left a rare poem in modern times to future generations: "The sky is cold and the wine is in Chang'an City, and the plum blossoms are still drunk and sleeping", "I am the first swallow in the south of the Yangtze River, and I am on the clouds for the spring".
