Hogwarts: Please graduate soon
Chapter 335
The students present were all seniors who had lived in Hogwarts Castle for at least a year, so they were naturally very familiar with the school.
But today, when they came back after two and a half months, they were surprised to find that there was another building in the school.
They were now in front of the oak door at the main entrance of the castle. As long as they stepped onto the high stone steps, they could enter the main part of the castle.
On the east side was the Whomping Willow, and a little further west was Professor Sprout's greenhouse, where most of the herbology classes were usually taught.
Further west was the back of the school. Originally, it was an empty lawn with nothing, but now there was a five-story Gothic building connected to the main part of the castle by an aerial corridor.
Although the building looked less than half the size of the castle, looking at the densely packed windows, it was clear that it was divided into many rooms.
"We are going to have new classrooms?" a student suddenly said happily.
"Maybe it's a new dormitory."
"Really? I've wanted to change my roommate for a long time. Damn Michael has smelly feet!"
"You're talking nonsense. It's obviously Levi's feet that smell."
"Shut up, it's time to eat. Don't talk about such smelly topics."
The little wizards were very interested in the new building that appeared out of nowhere, but the heavy rain was still falling, so they could only run into the gate with excitement and curiosity in their hearts.
Wayne was tired of the endless rain and deliberately stayed behind. After everyone went in, a stream of light came out of his box and rushed straight into the sky.
In an instant, thunder rolled and dazzling lightning tore through the sky.
When Wayne entered the hallway, he heard an angry voice from inside.
"Peeves! Get down here right now!"
A big red balloon filled with water fell from the ceiling and exploded above Ron's head. Ron was soaked, even though he was already wet. Then there were more water balloons. The little wizards around screamed, and Peeves laughed over his head.
Professor McGonagall ran over angrily, but the ground was too wet, and she slipped. Hermione quickly supported her and didn't fall.
"Thank you, Miss Granger."
"It's okay, Professor."
"Peeves! Get down here right now!" Professor McGonagall shouted loudly, and the anger under her glasses could not be hidden.
"I didn't do anything." Peeves chuckled, "They're already wet anyway, right?"
As he was about to throw all the remaining water balls in his hand, he saw Wayne, who had just come in, looking at him with a half-smile, and then screamed and ran through the wall.
"Thank God." Professor McGonagall frowned even deeper and glanced at Wayne, "Okay, let's go into the hall quickly."
The students slipped with every step. After walking through the entrance hall and entering the auditorium on the right, Professor McGonagall kept Wayne.
"Mr. Lawrence, can I ask why Peeves is so afraid of you?"
In the past, she might be curious, but she would never be so embarrassed to ask Wayne, but this year is different.
It's like letting people from other schools see that Hogwarts can't even control a ghost, where would Minerva put her old face?
In any case, Peeves, the hidden danger, must be eliminated before other schools arrive, and at least he must be honest for a school year.
"It's actually quite simple." Wayne smiled warmly, "I have mastered an offensive spell targeting the mind. Peeves has suffered twice and is more afraid of me."
"If you need it, I will write down the spell for you tomorrow."
Professor McGonagall was a little embarrassed to ask a student for a spell, but she nodded awkwardly for the sake of the overall situation.
"I have some new insights into Transfiguration recently, you can also refer to it."
"Thank you, professor."
"Go in quickly." Professor McGonagall smiled, watching Wayne's back as he walked into the hall, and envied Professor Sprout again.
What a good kid
In the hall, the students were somewhat embarrassed. Many of them took out their wands to evaporate the rain on their bodies, but some made mistakes, like Seamus, who almost burned himself.
When Wayne passed by the Slytherin table, almost everyone lowered their heads subconsciously. The brainless and unhappy people next to Malfoy almost buried themselves in the table, and even Malfoy didn't dare to look Wayne in the eye.
He knew that his father also participated in the parade that night.
Fortunately, he ran fast and was not caught, otherwise...
Thinking of the miserable state of Pansy's father, he was now nauseous.
As for Pansy Parkinson, she dared not resent Wayne after her father died. Her uncle told her that the most important thing now was to survive and pass on the blood of the Parkinson family. Only when she had enough power could she consider revenge.
If Wayne knew what Pansy was thinking, he would probably just sneer.
Want to pass on the blood when she looks like this?
I can't even get hard!
.......
Sitting at the familiar dining table, Wayne propped up his chin and waited for dinner in boredom.
Toby and Norman were discussing the new use of the building and asked him about his ideas.
"It's probably because there are too many students, so we made preparations in advance." Wayne thought for a while and said, "Didn't you notice that there are more freshmen this year than last year. Compared with our class, there are already 50% more."
"It seems a little bit." Toby said after realizing it.
Justin Finch-Fletchley was excited: "Of course there is. All the carriages are full today. I spent a long time looking for a few Gryffindors to get along with."
Cedric nodded as well: "Even the prefects' box was given to the freshmen."
Speaking of this, Wayne was stunned again, "It seems that I became a prefect this autumn, but I didn't go to the prefects' box."
"Don't tell me you just found out?" Cedric looked at him strangely.
"I only found out when she changed into her school robes." Wayne shook his head: "The two heads didn't cause trouble?"
Wayne was referring to this year's male and female student presidents.
Cedric sneered: "Not everyone is Percy, who can't wait to hold three meetings a day. This year's two presidents are all Ravenclaws, and they don't care about anything at all. Don't worry."
"That's fine."
Listening to the conversation between Wayne and Cedric, some little badgers couldn't help but come over out of curiosity.
They were still very curious about the situation at the Quidditch World Cup, but Wayne evaded them with the excuse that the Ministry of Magic asked him to keep it secret.
Wayne looked at the main guest seat. Old Dumbledore didn't come, Snape didn't come, but everyone else had arrived.
Soon, the door of the hall opened, and Dumbledore strode in. He sat in the main seat with a smile on his face, and he seemed to be in a good mood.
Snape, who followed behind him, still had a gloomy expression. He glanced at Harry at the Gryffindor table and said nothing.
Since Sirius was safe and sound, Snape found that he hated Harry even more. Even with Lily's eyes protecting him, he couldn't stop this anger.
Then Professor McGonagall led a group of freshmen into the hall. They were all wet, and some of them were even soaked, making people wonder if they had just fallen into the Black Lake.
A thin boy was still wearing Hagrid's moleskin coat, and his expression was extremely excited.
When the freshmen learned that they would wear a strange hat to decide the college they would stay in for the next seven years, their faces became even uglier.
This made many second-year students very happy.
They felt much more balanced.
In fact, Professor McGonagall had proposed more than once the idea of restoring the Sorting Hat to its original state.
Even if it was a tattered old hat, it was better than the current "flashy" one. Unfortunately, Dumbledore and the Sorting Hat opposed it, so it had to be abandoned.
At this time, the Sorting Hat began to sing, still praising the four founders, and adding many rap elements, which received praise from many students.
"I contributed to the lyrics." While clapping, Norman said excitedly: "He really added it!"
"I will bring the Sorting Hat out another day, and you can communicate more." Wayne smiled and applauded.
"Stuart Ackerley!"
Professor McGonagall took out a roll of parchment and read out the name aloud.
A boy stepped forward and reluctantly put the hat on his head.
"Ravenclaw!" the Sorting Hat shouted.
Immediately, the long table of Ravenclaw applauded again to welcome the first freshman of this year.
The next freshman was also very fast, butDue to the increase in the number of people, it took nearly half an hour to come to an end.
Many people were already hungry, and their attention was all focused on the empty plates.
Finally, as Kevin Whippet was assigned to Hufflepuff, all four long tables burst into warm applause, and everyone looked eagerly at Dumbledore who stood up.
He smiled at all the classmates, opened his arms, and made a welcoming gesture.
"I only have two words to say to you." The deep voice echoed in the hall, "Eat!"
The empty plates were suddenly filled with food, and then it was time to feast.
In the past, as one of the most abundant banquets every year, the elves also tried their best to show their highest level, but this year was a little different.
Although the taste was good, there were fewer varieties.
Nick, who was almost headless, gave the reason, "It was Peeves who was causing trouble. He wanted to attend the banquet, but it was impossible."
"He lost his temper, smashed and scare the house-elves in the kitchen. It was good enough to have something to eat."
Hermione's expression froze for a moment: "Does Hogwarts also have house-elves?"
After she saw Winky from the Crouch family being beaten and scolded during the World Cup, she was very dissatisfied with the situation of house-elves.
"Needless to say?" Nick looked at her in surprise: "There is no place in the UK with more house-elves than here, there are more than a hundred."
"Otherwise, who do you think will do these foods and the daily maintenance of the castle, us ghosts?"
Ron was envious after hearing this. He wanted to have a house-elf, so that Molly would not let him do boring work such as weeding and driving away goblins.
Hermione was speechless, but she still said, "But I've never seen them."
"They usually only come out at night, to clean up, look after the fire, etc.... The sign of a good house-elves is that people can't feel their presence, right?"
Hermione glared at him angrily, and then continued to eat.
The rain outside stopped at some point, and only the sounds of eating and chatting were left in the hall.
In the end, the residue on the plate disappeared, and dessert was replaced.
Another ten minutes passed, everyone ate to their satisfaction, everything returned to its original state, and Dumbledore stood up again.
"Okay!" Dumbledore looked at everyone with a smile: "Now that we are all full and satisfied, I need to make a few announcements."
"Mr. Filch, the administrator, wants me to tell you that there are a few more items that are prohibited from use in the castle this year. They are Screaming Yo-Yo Balls, Spike Flying Saucers, Gender-Change Mints, and Itch Powder. The entire list includes 439 items. Those who are interested can go to Filch's office to check it out."
Dumbledore's mouth twitched. He moved a little, glanced at Wayne who was looking down at the plate, and finally set his eyes on the twins, full of meaning.
Unexpectedly, George and Fred were not afraid, but showed him a harmless smile, and his mouth twitched even more.
Two more who were led astray by Wayne...
He was so familiar with this smile.
Dumbledore continued to talk about precautions, still warning everyone not to enter the Forbidden Forest.
Then he smiled:
Let me tell you something joyful.
He stretched out his hand and said loudly: "At the end of the last school year, Mr. Lawrence, with his outstanding wisdom and amazing strength, discovered the hidden truth in a case more than ten years ago."
"He, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley successfully caught the real murderer and cleared the injustice of Sirius Black."
"In order to thank Mr. Lawrence for his great contribution to the justice of the Ministry of Magic, the Wizengamot has awarded him the Order of Merlin, First Class, during the summer vacation!"
Wow!
The hall became restless, the students' discussions were buzzing, and then there was thunderous applause.
Dumbledore took the opportunity to announce: "For this, the school will also give him a special contribution award!"
Wayne smiled and stood up to greet everyone. At the same time, he saw that many Slytherin students had expressions of their fathers dying on their faces, but they were still applauding him.
Finally, he looked at the guest of honor seat. Snape's face was dark and stinky, and Wayne's eyes met his.
Snape understood the meaning.
Why don't you laugh?
Crack!
Snape's fists were crackling, and he resisted the urge to flip the table and lowered his head.
When the applause died down and Wayne sat down again, Dumbledore continued:
"I am very sorry to tell you that there will be no more College Cup Quidditch this year."
"What?" Harry was so surprised that he couldn't breathe. Many people looked at Dumbledore in disbelief. The twins stared at him silently, but Dumbledore seemed not to notice and continued:
"This is because a large-scale event will start in October and last throughout the school year. I am very happy to announce to everyone that this year at Hogwarts--"
Just then, the door of the auditorium was knocked open, and everyone subconsciously looked over.
A man stood at the door, holding a long cane in his hand and wrapped in a black traveling cloak.
The bright candlelight illuminated him. He took off his hood, revealing a hideous face, limped towards the guest of honor, and made a hollow sound.
Wayne's eyes suddenly became much sharper, as if they were real, piercing the man.
Feeling the same, the man's big blue eyes turned around and looked over, and the two of them looked at each other.
Although it was very subtle, Wayne sawHe noticed it, and his body trembled for a moment. .
